No , it started off without _UK because i regged in UK first ( as you would ) but on going to US found Archangel to already regged (appears inactive since Nov 06) so... regged as Archangel_UK Hunky dory , find caches ,update no probs. try to link to US ....shows finds in Peak District in 06 .. me start Sept 07 whoops still not sorted Deego`s trying to sort UK end but no A-E `s on dropdown list to link ?

is this because you want to use the backlight continuously ? if not ,why not use rechargeable batts and have a charger in the car ?

having this prob myself .... it`s not you , its the GeoCaching site . there is a thread in the forums where it`s being discussed / commented on , caches are dloading to your garmin as waypoints so all you need do is open them up and change icon to geocache (closed chest) until the tech guys have sorted it out .

one reason why I`m mostly a lurker is the replies given by some of the responders . I don`t need someone "advising" me that I should use GSAK to d`load cache details when theres a perfectly(sorry) was a perfectly good link to dload accessible to all regardless of experience or ability which is as it should be , otherwise it becomes elitist . Not everyone has the means or desire to buy "extra" software. if you`re replying , read the question , don`t just put a stock reply in .

20:45 GMT still same problem, just tried it with local cache GC10208 blue dot with number in waypoints not geocaches changeicon and it moves over using WinXP pro , IE (da*n microsoft ) Garmin Legend C .... usb cable if doesnt work for the noobs it needs fixing ! and what time zone is this forum in ?

To summarise :- i use Opera instead of IE so would like to "send to GPS" from Opera Will it happen ? Can it happen ? When is it likely to happen ? and yes ....i do know there are currently problems with this facility *****I would like to be able to "send to GPS" (Etrex Legend C) from my preferred browser rather than have to open an IE window (which is far too small). Do you think some kind soul could take the request on board ? be a lot of grateful cachers out here for that .******** TIA

You want neither of those. I think you want the non-NT version of City Navigator Europe. Here is the list of maps compatible with your unit. Thanks for that ,however Legend (blue one ) is being sold with Euro Metroguide so the looking at non-NT version seems to be an idea it doesn`t answer the question as to " whats the difference between them " ie what makes the NT version diferent ? I have seen them both working and cannot see the difference .

I'm not sure they can get it to work in other browsers because that feature uses Microsoft ActiveX. There are no plugins for this that I'm aware of. I'm not a programmer so I don't know how hard it would be to do. This is a handy feature for loading a couple of quick caches and heading out. I thought Raine said he fixed it on a recent thread. Yes thats what I`m looking for , " Send to GPS" using Opera not Internet explorer which I detest . i do understand that there are problems at the moment with that feature

Hope Garmin write a script for Opera before M*****t get on board, otherwise that`ll be another Gb of software on my PC !!

Lets face it , there will always be a few sad sacks out there . If they cant cope with life without being nasty you just got to have pity on them. Lifes too short to take notice , ignore them and they`ll go away Personally I just delete and move on , dont give them a thought .
