OK, I tried to download it and got the same error message. Might be that the cartridge was corrupted when you uploaded it. Try uploading the .gwz file to the site again and see if that corrects the problem.

Also, don't forget to set the items to "visible" when the player enters the zone (or on proximity whichever you use)

I did follow the link this AM, of course, they unblocked Groundspeak in time for me to get one PQ. Any chance we could get out PQ's re run?

I'm not getting any of my PQ's, notices, or even emails through the site. I'm using Roadrunner.

You should be able to open the destination folder and just "drag & drop" the file.

First thing, are you using Vista?? If so, that could be the issue. Second thing, is the cartridge heavilly hand coded?

I just tried what you suggested, managed to download all the cartridges. Could be an issue with IE? I use firefox.

no i just tried again and the same thing happened with 3 different accounts any other ideas? Let me know what cartridges you want, and what type of player and I can download them and email them to you.

Usually they add a log to the cartridge page.

Just tried to download the cartridge and it came through just fine. Could have been a temporary server issue.

OK, just noticed that I'm not getting any emails from Groundspeak. I should have gotten the new posts notices for this thread, none so far.

They have been very attentive to this sort of issue. Not a huge problem for me today anyway, got stuck with a double at work today AND tomorrow..............

OK, I can understand wanting a builder program that does not require internet access, I usually build out my cartridges at work, where I haven't got any 'net connection.

Good idea, might be worth having it copy the cache log to the trackable item. I'd also like to seea better way of "dipping" a trackable item that is used as a mileage tracker.

OK can you play any of the "play anywhere" cartridges? Some things I've seen that seem to cause problems include, having additional maps installed to the internal memory (should be on the SD card) having a lot of waypoints/caches loaded and having an older version of the GPS software on your machine. Try a couple play anywhere's, if they run fine, it could be the cartridge itself. There are some out there that run well on the pocket pc and Colorado, but crash the Oregon.

OK, I tried to download the cartridge in question and had no problems downloading any of the versions. If anyone needs me to download the cartridge for them, please contact me off list.

Ok, the completion (unlock) code only shows up on your player IF the author inserts the proper scripts. If the author has not inserted the "mark cartridge complete" script then the cartridge can't be unlocked. One thing to try is to upload your saved game file. Look in the "Saves" folder on your GPS, there should be two files for ach cartridge you have played, the one you want to upload is the one that ends in .gws

Try downloading it to a USB flash drive, then connect your GPS to the computer, open the Wherigo folder, delete any old version of the cartridge and then drag and drop the new cartridge from the flash drive. Not sure if this will work, but it may.

OK, good answers, but the overlooked part is that you can STILL LOG the cache as found! If the owner disabled the cache thinking it was MIA or needed repair, your find log will let him or her know it's still there and you could indicate the cache's general condition in your log.
