  1. This weekend is the Monaco Grand Prix, so a related question: What is the area of this rather small country?
  2. As a bit of an educated guess, Queen Elizabeth, who is also known as the Virgin Queen.
  3. Ding Spot on, other than the missing 'i' in Georgia. I once won £80 in a pub quiz with that answer/question, a bit of a lucky guess at the time for me. Sorry I cannot offer the same. Over to you
  4. A change of subject. America states have nicknames for example The Sunshine State for Florida So a question: Which state is known as Peaches, or the Peach State?
  5. I have an inkling that it is not a star, but rather the planet Venus.
  6. As Mark Twain said 'Geocaching is a good walk spoiled' Or at least something like that....
  7. Thank you Which two towns did the first railway in the UK connect?
  8. I reckon it is 14 for a horse, less than that for a pony. Talking off equines, how many legs does a horse have? Six, two at the back and forelegs at the front.
  9. A slight change of subject. Which of his two wives were beheaded by Henry VIII?
  10. Would that be Roseberry Topping, at the North of the North Yorkshire Moors, not too far from Great Ayton if my memory serves me correctly.
  11. Please give the holder a chance to log it into the cache. I get a bit annoyed when a trackable is grabbed from me before I have got home and done my logging; especially if I am on holiday or a weekend away. When I have grabbed a coin that another cacher has placed in a cache and not logged it, i will then place it in the cache I found it. I also give the cacher a courtesy message to explain what I have done. That way the owner knows where it has been, and the other cacher does not have his/her toes stepped on, as well as the trackable being accurately recorded
  12. I am interested in doing this Please can some one post a link to the relevant website, or at least point me in the direction of where I might find further information. Thank you
  13. Oops a bit late sending my email I hope I have not missed the boat, or would it be more apt to say the ice berg?
  14. *** ding *** Your thoughts are correct - it's that little divot. Freddie Frog would be proud.
  15. Are you smarter than an eighteen month old? No that's not the real question - This is Where is your philtrum? Freddie Frog knows, and he is only a baby....
  16. Eric who, after consuming a certain piece of fruit, turns into the superhero - Bananaman
  17. My arrived yesterday, and they are even better in real life than in the pictures. Many thanks for the prompt posting, and the beautiful coins.
  18. A lovely collection of coins, I hope I can be in time on 23 November What time do they go live?
  19. Thank You heartradio for passing on this sad news about Lindinis I knew Ernie B (as he was then) in my early days of geocaching, when I lived down in Somerset. He had set some lovely caches, including a series which ran from the seaside near Weston Super Mare, to West Bay at the English Channel just south of Bridport. It was designed as a route - about 60 miles, and 56 caches - Probably to be done by car. Well I picked a day in August - not too hot, thankfully - and went on my bicycle and did the whole series - the crossing of the Somerset Levels being the only level part of the route, only DNFing one, that had gone missing. I filled in my logs, stating that, and Ernie was out two days later, to replace it; concluding that it had been muggled by badgers. It takes some dedication to establish, maintain and respond that quickly to DNFs. A fantastic example to all. He will be sorely missed
  20. You can also do that one by Bicycle..... In a day.....
  21. Hi there Another way to meet one or two people is to attend an event. I am not sure exactly where you are based, but there is a Northants Natters on a monthly basis. The next on is here: Northants Natters # 20 at the end of the month in Sywell. If you are more Silverstone side there is a monthly BAD (Bicester and District) meet. You have just missed the last one, but they are normally held at the end of the month too. Keep an eye out on notifications, or search for events. Go along to them, people are friendly, and more than happy to talk to anyone. Best of luck and may see you at one of the BAD events, NN are normally too far for me to go.
  22. Were these coins ever made and sold? If so are how could I get hold of a couple? Thanks
