  1. Ask your county assessor's office. They should be able to tell you who owns the land.
  2. The site is not loading at all for me right now.
  3. Holy crap you guys must be really dedicated to cache in those conditions. I was out caching on Saturday and it was about 72 degrees and I was complaing about how cold it was. OK. That's just absurd. 72 can in no way, shape, or form be considered cold. Edit: Unless you're giving temperatures in Kelvins that is.
  4. For some reason, some people feel that if they can't find a cache, then it has to be missing, and they'll just toss a replacement cache wherever they feel one should go, without contacting the owner or anything. It's stupid, but it happens.
  5. I know this is late, but better late than never, right? I would like to apologize for acting like a complete jerk in this thread just because I disagreed with someone. I have a very bad habit of not thinking before posting. If I offended anyone, I am very sorry. Like I said, I tend to post before thinking, which can, and often does, get me into trouble. Hopefully this post is more well thought-out than most of my other posts.
  6. I love it! It works way better than the POS Vista I had before it. It gets a signal within seconds and is very accurate.
  7. Thank you for trying to force your opinion on everyone. I'm glad you're not running the site. WOW! That was incredibly rude! OP asked opinions. Only opinions that agree with you are permitted! Sorry. It was the way you worded it. Just flat-out saying "They should be banned." That makes me think you want to take away something other people enjoy.
  8. Thank you for trying to force your opinion on everyone. I'm glad you're not running the site.
  9. False, but I'm working on it! The next cacher has completed his/her home state COUNTY challenge.
  10. False. The next cacher has gotten stuck in the mud while on the way to a cache.

    ISQ Finds

They may not count in the "official" Spirit Quest totals, but I found my first 3 Illinois Spirit Quests on Monday.
  12. If you have the time, The Rocky Branch, just a little northwest of Marshall, Illinois, is hidden in an excellent area.
  13. Sorry, I've been changing computers and cars and took this long to get back here. So, Otis, which GPS did you get? Garmin etrex Venture HC
  14. My new GPS came today, and it is AWESOME!
  15. Oh yeah...we have those all over here in Wisconsin. Many farmers have grazing pastures for their livestock that are on the opposite side of the road from where their main farmland is. Therefore, it is often necessary for them to herd several of them together and do a sort of cattle drive right across the highway. Heck, there's even a guy here on the edge of town that has a tunnel underneath the highway for his cattle to move so that he doesn't have to herd them. They just move back and forth at their own free will. It's actually pretty cool to see. I'm pretty sure it's in Banff National Park in Alberta where they built an overpass for wildlife to use so they don't have to cross the highway, and the wildlife actually uses it.
  16. 14 of my first 100 finds have now been archived. I can't answer the second question since I haven't been caching for 5 years.
  17. Because it only gets posted to every three months? and therefore is hard to find? It's not my fault. I post in it when I have something to say. Unfortunately, no one else seems all that interested in having a thread to chat in.
  18. I finally ordered a new GPS off of Amazon. Now I'm just trying to patiently wait for it to get here. I want to go find some caches!

    ISQ Finds

Because you haven't posted your numbers here. Now you have and you are on the list next time it is updated. But I had already posted my numbers before the most recent update. It's no big deal though. I was just curious.

    ISQ Finds

I know I've only found 2, but why am I not on the list?

    ISQ Finds

I would like to take this moment to present my first two ISQ finds! http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LU...16-bf2a95541be4 & http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LU...7e-249fa17b04f0
  22. I just let it sit out on the roof of the car for 50 minutes. It said it had a signal from 8 satellites, but it would not give me coordinates and say it was ready to navigate. Can I get some more suggestions PLEASE?!
  23. And I've found another problem with this piece of junk. It thinks it's 8:40 PM on June 21, 2025.
