  1. logging the AL's from home totally defeats the purpose. Get out there and really do them or find something else to do. The AL owners should have more control and be able to delete those logs.
  2. Thanks JohnCNA. But I did actually have a DNF the first time so I do not want to delete the log. Thanks anyway.
  3. How do I identify DNF's as found. After I go back and actually make the find on a previous DNF the cache still shows up in the "Didn't Find" list on the geocaching.com site. As it should - but it is aggravating and time consuming to go into each one to find out if they have been found after I posted my DNF log. Just wondering if there is some way to identify or remove cleared up caches on the "didn't find" list.
  4. Can a geocoin be adopted if the previous owner has put it into their collection? I purchased an activated coin. Can't seem to get the ownership corrected. Thanks.
  5. I agree totally with WearyTraveler. Cachly is the way to go.

I do the same. A mention in the log is a good idea - Grouchy has got this one correct!
  7. What I do is click on the main screen for the selected cache, scroll a little until you get to the Waypoints section and click it. It opens a screen where you can press + in the top right and add a new waypoint. Name it Stage 2 or whatever is relevant and enter in the coordinates. Save it. It will then be your target, or if there are multiple, click "Set as Target" for the waypoint and off you go. If you need, you can swipe the waypoint to the left to Edit or Delete it. Does that work? Works like a charm! Thank you.
  8. On the Garmin 680t geocaching dashboard - under the compass and to the right of the mileage to the cache - is a number that increases - with a very small icon of a cache. Does anyone know that the number indicates? The GPS works excellent and we really like using it but we are still guessing at that one number on the screen and what it means.
  9. Yes, we would love to attend the event, buy a coin and join polskikrol in the hunt afterwards.
  10. Planning a south FL trip early next year and just wondering if anyone has any favorite areas to go caching. The more scenic the better! Thanks from NJ

    Email address

Thanks for your reply. We'll set up email forwarding since ours is a husband and wife team and we are together caching most of the time. We use 2 computers at home so forwarding will be helpful.

    Email address

Is there a way to change an account so that information from Geocaching.com is sent to more than one email address? I only see a place in our profile for one address. Thanks
  13. Thanks jcar for the list of geocachers. Very interesting stuff there. But it looks like I'll have to compile my own list of what I was after. Thanks for all the responses.
  14. Just curious........ Anyone know if there is a list of the numbers of geocaches per state and/or county for comparison. It would be fun to see where the concentrations are. I know how to look up each individually but would like to see a spreadsheet type report if it's available somewhere out there. Thanks, Raritan
  15. That did it. Thank you very much. I just didn't see the "found" option on the compass page. I appreciate the quick reply too!
  16. Thanks. I understand about changing the icon. I do need to find out how to make the geocaches show up not as waypoints but as geocaches so I can mark them found. I must be missing something simple.
  17. I am a newbie and have been downloading geocaches into my Garmin 76CSX. They show up as waypoints and I am unable to mark them as found geocaches. Is it an icon problem or what? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
