Clyde, this is a follow-up on my previous message. I used the "reset to defaults" function on the toolbar and was subsequently able to add the Export to Mapsource icon. Strange. Steve K

Clyde, Earlier this week I downloaded GSAK 6.0.2 and updated my laptop. I've noted two problems: - Several times when closing GSAK, but not consistently, I get the message that it had a problem and had to be crashed, do I want to submit a log. I understand those go to Microsoft not you but I send them anyway. Has anyone else reported this? - I'm trying to drag the export to Mapsource format icon to the toolbar but there's the circle with a line through it (can't drop here) everywhere I try to put it. - I'd like to see the ability to put an icon up on the toolbar for "mark as found". It would also be nice to have mark as found available directly when right-clicking on a cache instead of buried under "mark as". I understand that menu is getting kind of full... FYI, I'm running XP Pro, service pack 2 with current patches. Thanks for all you do to make this the best tool I've ever purchased! Steve K

I've been wondering, would it be OK to leave something like Blockbuster video rental coupons/vouchers in a cache? Depending upon what's rented, they're worth $2 (kids videos) to $6 (games)... Steve K

I've been unable to connect to wi-geocaching.com since sometime yesterday. Has anyone heard whether this is planned maint (didn't see any warning on te site), temporary failure or just plain vaporization of the site? Thanks, Steve K

Although this question has probably been asked before, I was unable to find related threads using the board's find feature...so here goes. I recently purchased a used CD of Garmin's Roads & Recreation Mapsource. First step was to Garmin's site to download the latest (July 11, version 5.0 English only as I type) software. Next step, install. Smooth, painless. Great. Poke around, select a few map chunks (OK, most of my state and some surrounding counties) and download them to my GPSr (Garmin etrex vista). Later time to play with the software. Need to have a more accurate waypoint projection than I can do with the GPSr itself so let's try Mapsource. Darn, wants the stupid CD again. OK, which drawer? Got it. Wait, someone else is using the CD drive over the network. Ugh. Hey, surely someone else has thought about this, is there an (easy) way to not force CD insertion at various usage points? To those of you thinking that I'm pirating Mapsource, think otherwise. Here's my name and email address for followup, something most thiefs won't do. Steve Karolek steve@karoleks.com
