I think maybe someof you did not understand, I have No shame in my DNFs just did not know proper form. Did not want to send a flurry of unwanted e-mail someones way. As I seem to be Blind and or stupid on this 1:1

When searching for a cache, do you log everytime you search and cannot find it? Or just the one time. And if and when you do find it, do you edit your DNF to a Found or log a new entry? I know dumb question, just humor me please.

Who Are The Lurkers? Introduce Yourself.
GeoPirates2007 replied to Bloencustoms's topic in General geocaching topics
I like to lurk, it is amazing what one can learn by keeping their mouth closed and ears open. Sometimes I cannot help myself though, more often than not I end up with a foot in my mouth........... and I have huge feet -

GEOCACHING DOESN'T CARE ABOUT CHINLDREN! WOW I got sucked into that thread, holy smokes that was nasty -
Gee, sorry, but I'm paralysed from the neck down, hence the 1/1. And I'm part owner of 500 acres 100 miles from my house, with relatives living there. Remember, the glass is half full. look at my zip code, there are caches 0.7 miles from my house. I live in the 'burbs, and my neighbors are cool, I know them. ZIP = 35242 don't mind posters like that. I have learned that there are always those that cannot avoid sarcasm long enough to give constructive advice. If you hide it, they will come. just remember to let your neighbors on all sides know, and they can have fun with it too

Nice to know that state employees are using state funds to harass and steal instead of keeping the parks clean and safe for families. yea whats up with this? I am going to assume that these cache owners had gotten the proper permission. Whats the big deal?

Placing a cache in own yard
GeoPirates2007 replied to GeoPirates2007's topic in General geocaching topics
Thats just it, you don't know. Cause as far as I know you have never been here. For one I could put a couple of wally worlds in my yard, with room to spare. It is all wooded sor really not much differance from a park -
Seperate websites, novel idea eh Keystone? I hid a TC. com micro less than 5 feet from one of my large TB hotels. GCrs were looking for something LARGER than an ammo can and NONE of them stumbled upon it. I call it "DOH! factor." For folks that don't consider other listing/hunting options. When they finally do try the other options they go DOH! Translation: "No, it won't remain water-tight in a creek." sounds more like a maybe too me. BTW whats up with the Avatar? it is kinda creepy, no offense, maybe its my subconscious homophobe

I love those spots. Transients and Homeless have a knack for finding all the out of the way corners of our cities. Those spots that civilization has bypassed. When they are not occupied they are normally quite peaceful. Which brings up the real answer to the question. Prime locations vary by the person seeking the cache. I like industrial slag, homeless camps. Parks are also nice, but there I can find signs of drug use. The world is what it is and I like knowing and seeing all corners. Not just the white picket fence variety. Very well put, the world is not all peaches and cream, that being said one also needs to remember that alot of people do this with the family. Something should definatly be in the description about the area. the last thing I want to hear from my 5 year old daughter is "daddy why is that man peeing on the ground over there?"
