I am also looking ino a navigation gps that can be used for caching. I have a Garmin legend and vista (old black and white) and really want to upgrade. I could use the navigation for work and caching. Anyone have any suggestions or experience to add. Thanks I would prefer Garmin.

We recently saw a big black bear on a caching trip. We didn't get a picture of course. We had hoped to see some elk in northern NM, but saw the bear instead. It was awesome. Just want to see some pictures and hear some stories of wildlife encounters.

I don't know if there is a post out there about this, but I am looking for cool cache container ideas. I want to plant a few new caches, but steer away from the traditional ammo can. I really like the strength and weatherproof ammo cans, but I like a challenge. Post some pictures too. Thanks keep on cachin' caseydenise

I wouldn't say that most cachers are lazy. In todays society, it's great to see a sport that anyone can do and makes you go outside. A lot of people I work with in the computer field play video games all day. I think a cache should bring you somewhere new, challenge you, and make you want to hunt another one. I live in SW New Mexico and there aren't a lot of caches around here. We put an average of 3000 miles a month on our cache mobile just to get to new ones. This past weekend we drove over 300 miles to do 5 caches. I think sitting in the car is lazy, but I love cachin. -casey

I submitted a cahce on the 27th of Feb, almost 2 weeks ago. I final got a response on monday that he needed all coords to my multi-cache. Still waiting four days later. Weekend is fast approching and I want cachers to try it out. caseydenise

do you mean your dad go the garmin c60 for 100 bucks??

I all ready own an etrex vista. I just want to store geocache's in the PDA so I don't have to print them all out. If I can combine the PDA and GPS together, that is an extra bonus. That Garmin 60C is a SWEET unit. That might be my next buy. Need to wait until I drop mine or it gets damaged.
