We are having trouble making the Add Friends thing work. We sent email, they got it, but then what? Tried it the other way, they sent to us, but then what? this site can be so non-intuitive at times it is maddening is there something we are missing - a link that is obscure or something? another friend tried to send one and they got message that our profile was not accepting new friends. Where does that get altered in teh profile section?

This might be a global treasure hunt game, but it certainly shows up the real life stuff. There are lots of people who dont' follow the rules! And it 'bugs' the hell out of those who do. We're fairly new to the whole thing and have tried to do the right thing to make it enjoyable for other cachers. If we didn't think we could take the bugs where they were heading,we left them in the cache. What we've noticed is that some people are just on a TB hunt. Even if the wishes of the bug are attached, they have an attack of "selective reading inability disorder", and grab the thing just so they can log another bug on their profile. Personally we get our sense of self-worth from things more important than how many TBs or GC's we've got on our log. This is after all a game! It's supposed to be fun. Something to add a new element to travel and sightseeing. It just might be a bit more fun if people played in the right spirit.

We have just got a Garmin Etrex and still have our L plates on with the whole geocaching thing. About to travel OS and wonder if we can take GPS with us and just turn on and use. We live in Australia and will travel in Europe, UK and USA. Is it a simple matter of turning it on and entering waypoints? Or does it have to be reset or something for Northern Hemisphere.
