  1. I ended up contacting Groundspeak and we got it figured out. My internet settings are different from my husbands, and once I logged in through his, everything went in without a hitch! Thank you Annie at Groundspeak, very prompt and very helpful. Thanks for and to the forum members for trying with other suggestions
  2. Check out GC120TZ - Your MIA TB could be in this archived cache - I couldn't believe how many are in there, and I stumbled across this site in a posting from the Groundspeak forum "How long to hold onto a TB". And there are ???? many cache sites out there! Oh my....
  3. Hello - It might help if you place your GPS directly over GZ and take readings multiple times then do an average to come up with better coordinates. My husband is a surveyor and works out in the field w/Trimble GPS equipment, and he shoots a point 20 times and averages it. Not to say you need to be that dead on, but a few shots and an average would be better than just one. You access additional Satellites this way for better accuracy. And definately set your GPS unit to WGS84. Hope this helps - Lore'
  4. Just a note, cause we're new at this too, but if you use the geocaching w/google earth feature listed in the left hand column beside the yahoo map, it will show you all the other available caches nearby. And since it is in google earth, you can zoom in and out and back and forth in any area you wish to look for more. Play with this feature for awhile. I think you'll be amazed at what you'll find. To do this, from the list of your area cache's, open one you want to look for. When you are on that cache's page, scroll down to the yahoo map. Look to the left of the map and highlight/click on the geacaching w/google earth. This will open up another window. The cache site you started with will be listed as #1, all others around it will show up as other numbers in separate dialog bubbles. First time I did this I was just amazed at how many others were so close by! Anyway, move cursor over other bubbles and click, you will pull up that cache. I'm so spoiled now, I won't use anything but this map! And you are all right about using it w/PDA for paperless. Take extra batteries! Also, you can print/PDA the google map you've pulled up too! Forgot to mention that! This has been a ton of healthy fun! And some people are just incredibly clever! So enjoy and don't give it up
  5. Hello - My husband and I joined as Premium Members last week, and our account shows us as premium members, however, it will not accept any profile information. I've gone to that page and entered the information several times, gone down to the bottom and clicked update, but it won't change and show the info I've filled in. I've even tried with the password option, still no data. What's up with this? Or what am I missing here?
