I am having the same problem. I get the Message "Garmin Comminicator Plug is NOT detected" etc. I have reinstalled Plug In and my units show at the Communicator Plugin page. It says "You have Communicator Plugin. Up to Date, Version 4.2.0.0" and it properly identifies my connected Device.
