You do I create a map of our finds and import it to our public profile?

In some member profiles we have seen an outline map of the US with the States where the members have found caches filled in red. From where are these imported ?

I was not aware that geocaching.com listed stoplights. But the search page that lists caches will only download .loc files. For .gpx files you need to get a PQ or download from the individual cache pages. Jim Don't know if they are stoplight locations of cache locations deing mistaken by my Escort download software as stoplight locations. Anyway you answered my question. I'll use a PQ> Thanks.

I am trying to download an entire page of sites using the "click all" and "download" buttons at the bottom of the search page. The download uses loc files which go into the Escort radar detector file which updates my radar detector with stoplight camera locations identified by gps coordinates. Is there a way to get the "download" feature to use gpx instead of loc files to download the locations into Easy GPS ? Otherwise, I have to download each site individually using Easy GPS.

I have Delorme TopoUSA 7.0 (eastern region) and as I move the cursor over the map it displays in the lower left the township and state you're in. If you enter waypoint coordinates, it does the same. It does not give me the township/range info on unincorporated areas in Maine, however. Thanks. Does it give both township and range in the lower left corner ? OK - Just checked out Delorem customer service (almost no wait time = may switch from garmin to delorem) and found out that their X Map Pro in conjunction with their TOPO for X Map Pro will identify County, Township and Range of any coordinates you place under the cursor. BINGO !! Ordered them; be here next week. Anyone with questions about how it works out shoot me an email via Groundspeak.

Thanks, I'm in NM but the coordinates are in Nevada. How can I get S/T/R maps of NV ?

I have a set of GPS coordinates and I want to find out what township, range and plot they lie within. Anyone know how to do this via internet and mapping software ? Thanks

I for one appreciate your coins and efforts. Everyone knew from outset there might never be a full understanding. Marcus Vitruvius communicated with me after acquiring coins. We both agreed to continue trying to determine full meaning. Just this last week I checked out another book on Knights Templar because of interest created by this challenge. Thank you for relenting a bit with a few more suggestions. I intend to keep my coins as they represent one of the highlights of geocaching. We are going to use as instructional tools for a planned introduction to geocaching. Should you decide on production of another coin please sign me up. This challenge was priceless!! Thanks for the kind words. You bring up a point that has been rattling around in my brain since the beginning of this whole thing: should I do a 4th coin? Obviously, from my prior posts, you can tell that my life is a bit chaotic right now, so it might take awhile, but I already have some preliminary sketches that I started over a year ago. I found myself holding back on my reply to M.V.'s post, because I didn't want to eliminate that option. However, the last thing I want is for people to think I'm just doing it to make a buck, and that it's not a sincere effort. So, I'll leave it to the people to decide. Let your voice be heard. If you'd like a 4th coin with additional clues to help solve the challenge, let it be known. Likewise, if you'd prefer that there not be a 4th coin, please do the same. If the good people of geocaching would like a 4th coin, I'll refine my sketches and get that ball rolling as time is available. If not, I'll keep my sketches to myself. I look forward to your input. No, I have not = pretty shoddy way to run a contest, if you ask me. Just wanted to let you know I never heard back from Groundspeak either but decided to go ahead and try sending my picture in with the TB number it said it would not take and it ended up taking the photo afterall and I got it entered right before the deadline for the November Jeep running. So...give it a try and ignore the message you are getting. Hopefully it will work for you too! Thanks
