Admittedly this is right off the top of my head, and I haven't really thought it through, but here's a possible solution to hoarding: After a jeep is found, and the finder enters the contest, their entry is NOT valid until the same jeep is found again and the contest entered by the next person. Some reasonable time frame should also be applied, say maybe 30 days tops. So if you find one, enter, and hang on to it for 31 days, your entry is void, though the person who found it before you is OK, since it was found again. Thoughts, anyone?

OK. I think I'll pick your brains one last time before I decide what to get for my first gpsr. How much difference does the screen resolution really make between the Meridian gps yellow and the etrex Legend? The Meridian obviously has the memory expansion advantage, but is that worth the lower resolution trade-off? All opinions welcomed and appreciated.....

$99?!?? That's dadgum near a good enough reason to move to Texas! Unfortunately I'm in Kentucky -- no Fry's. If I had one nearby I'd be buying all I could and throwing them on Ebay -- they're going from $135-150 recently. Sell 3 like that and yours is free! So they're pretty comparable to the Legend, but I can up the memory. Is that accurate? thanks to all in advance..... Mark

I found these online only one place, so I can't compare the price....are they being phased out? This is the same price as a Legend (after rebate) but I have the option to add memory cards with the Meridian, so it seems a better deal. I'm new to geocaching (and gps for that matter!) so any comments will be appreciated. thanks, Mark
