  1. I had this problem too and finally resolved it last night. I had the problem in IE8 and IE9 on one computer, but no issue in FF4 on the same computer, or IE8 on another. The symptoms I had were that I would properly type in my user name and password, but I would be redirected back to the login page (if there), or the main page with the box at the top would continue to show me as a visitor. I finally found out that I had added GC.com to my list of trusted websites (must have been long ago for another reason) in IE. Once I removed it from the list of trusted sites, I was able to log in and stay logged in. :-) Seems like something in the "Trusted sites" zone of the security tab in IE tools->Internet options was preventing the logging in from sticking. Thank You Thank You Thank You! Had this same exact problem starting 5/7/11, spent much of the day today on the forums... applying suggestions Finally found your post and... PROBLEM RESOLVED Is this related to recent upgrade, or fixes on it? how odd (and how horribly frustrating) not to be able to log into the GC.com site You are quite welcome. For me it only started to happen since the site upgrade. I've never had this problem before. --DCMG
  2. Really? The Android browser handles the new site just fine. I thought both browsers were based on WebKit. I don't have a problem with the new web pages on my iphone under Safari (I can zoom and scroll the web pages), but the Beta maps are basically unusable. They don't scroll/zoom in Safari, and all you can see is the top left edge of the control box for customization (the part that allows you to change the type of map shown). I can't see the cache type filters. I can minimize the control box, and then move and zoom around in the map, but I cannot select any cache icon to see what cache it is. --dcmg

    Losing PQ's

I use spaces in the PQ-names, when typing them they get there, and when submitting, the resulting page even shows the spaces as well. But when I go to the overview they have been removed... I noticed the same behaviour here. When going back into the PQ edit page, the spaces are then gone in the name box where they just were after submitting the change. But if I put the spaces back in, they appear after submitting the changes, but disappear after going back to the overview page. This makes the overview page very hard to read. --DCMG
  5. Hmmm, initial posting doesn't seem to have gotten through ... I've noticed a wierd behaviour with exporting caches to my Oregon from GSAK using the ColoradoExport Macro where sometimes the Oregon seems to get stuck loading the new GPX file and requires a battery pull. After rebooting again, only some of the caches show up, although the entire GPX file is there (confirmed in Mass storage mode). It takes a couple of tries of downloading the GPX file again, but eventually the whole GPX file seems to get loaded. Rebooting the Oregon without reloading the GPX file does nothing (the same subset of caches is there) ... the GPX file needs to be regenerated and copied to the Oregon again. I even tried a test where before exporting, I deleted the GPX file off of the Oregon, rebooted, confirmed there were no caches on the Oregon, then exported, but it still hung even then. --DCMG
  6. This has been there since day one, but the font has changed to make it a little easier to read. GO$Rs Have they fixed the bug where if you had selected Mils, and then went to the map and selected a point on the map (red pushpin), the direction in Mils showed up but only the first 3 characters (0-639)? I had reported this to the Beta team, but I did not receive any indication that they had received my report. DCMG
  7. Added to advanced options in v5.8.8 fixed in v5.8.8 Excellent, thank you. Both updates work great. Thanks again for this wonderful macro. --DCMG
  8. OK, bad form to follow up my own post but ... I think I've found the problem with child icons not showing up properly. The <link> tag needs to have a fully qualified path to the .bmp file. I changed the line outputting the <link href> to include $goofypath and $goofydb to fully qualify the .bmp file paths: $Temp = Replace("@geofilejpg"," <link href="+Quote("file://$goofypath/$goofydb/$Embedded_POIL_File")+"/>",$Temp,True) This has got the child waypoint icons back to their old form of flags, puzzle pieces, Parking signs and such. --DCMG
  9. Child waypoints already have <gpxx:Proximity>0</gpxx:Proximity> in the gpx output. In other words, if POI Loader and the Nuvi are working correctly, no alerts are generated for child waypoints including spoiler pics w/ v5.8.6 and above. j I'm the exact opposite ... I just installed the latest version 5.8.7 from a version somewhere around 5.5 (sorry, can't remember the exact number) and noticed that the children were not being found by proximity anymore. There seem to be options for quite a few other features. Any chance on getting a feature added to specify whether or not the user wants to have an alert go off for children? For now, I've just edited the line in the macro file to put in $Proximity instead of 0. Also, I notice that children now show up on my display with the catagory icon, not the usual Final Location flag or Parking Area symbol, or Trailhead, or Question to Answer puzzle piece, or ... . This worked just fine in the previous version I was using. The GPX files all have lines such as <link href="file://Final_Location.bmp"/> in them, and the .bmp file is there in the POI_Loader directory. I'm running GSAK 7.5.0.188, GPX by Cache Type 5.8.7, and I have a Nuvi 360. I haven't changed or updated the POI loader SW but I did update GSAK to 7.5 from 7.2 at the same time as updating the macro. BTW, this is the most useful Macro that I'm using. Thanks for all the work on it. DCMG
