I tired out the garmin legend. Really bad reception. I took it back and almost bought the venture cx but changed my mind and bought the gpsmap 60Cx. I love it. If you have a Costco membership you can order one from costco.ca for $379 CAD and they have free shipping. I would have liked the 60csx but I don't care for the barometer and I'm not sure if having an electronic compas is worth the extra $50 or so dollars. I bought mine from walmart for 399 but I think I'll order theone from costco and return this one. Might as well save the extra $20. lol I also tried out the magellan 500le but the reception was only OK. My 60cx gets a lock in my basement! Around here the 76cx was the same price and is the same electronics but also floats, which is good if you are a boater, but I didn't like the buttons being above the screen. If I do any boating I'll just add a float to my lanyard.
