Deleting the log seems appropriate to me. If the person logging was not courteous enough to send a private message then they deserve no better.

Seems to me if one does not like LPCs then the easiest solution do not hunt them end of frustration LOL

Since I retired in 05 it has become a way for me to get out of the chair and move around a bit. Also since I just relocated here it is a great way to get know the area.

I started to read through this and then thought why bother. Seriously if the name of the cache is a problem for you then move on to another. It would seem no matter what in today's world you are going to offend someone or another. Be it religious political sexist you name it someone is on the look out for something they see as a personal affront. I do not give much thought to the name of the cache I only enjoy the search.

I have no FTF as it is not my thing. I have noticed though that on a few occasions I have been the FTF . Came home and went to log sure enough someone has claimed FTF but never signed the log.

I do not take anything from the cache. For me I just enjoy getting out as I am retired. It keeps me somewhat on the move.

This all change with some so called up date but it will catch up

Well to be honest there isn't much required by the person that took the time to place the cache and maintain the cache other than you sign the log. Why is that so difficult. If it doesn't matter enough for you to sign the log then why bother to take the time to log the find. Pretty clear rules the cache owner can void the find if the log is not sign. They are not asking anyone to contribute swag etc just be curtious enough to sign the log or don't log the find.

The person taking the time to make the hide and maintain the Cache makes the rules. There are plenty to go around. I like doing this is great past time for old retired guy like me so the 30 dollars a year I spends is worth it to me to keep this site up and running. With out it there would be no Geo Caching.

I really don't think it is possible no matter how someone tries to justify it. That said it makes no difference to me what others do while Geocaching. Different strokes as they say.

The funny part is the person that got me interested does not actively participate. But I love the past time. For me being retired it gives me something to do and a reason to get out of the house and try and stay alive and interested in something.

To some it is about the numbers. For others not. My question is why should it matter to you? Do it for what ever reason matters to you and forget about all else.

The type of cache one prefers or hates does not matter. You get to pick and choose. If they bother you in anyway feel free to ignore them.

If that is what you want to do go for it. This is just a hobby so relax and do it your way.

The bottom line to this being it matters not what others do just go out and seek. There is no competition to this relaxing hobby.

I have no problem as long as a cache indicates there is no parking. Cannot tell you how many I have started out on only to find it was impossible to even get close to because of the lack of any kind of parking.

I will not log a find If I don't sign the log. How can one go on a hike to cache and forget a pen or pencil?? My cache bag always contains multiple pens and pencils.

Poor Cache maintenance.

The thing I like about geocaching is the fact I can go it alone. I do not have a competitive bone in my body. I don't know it can be competitive? Seems you met someone how was competitive and kept losing out as he perceived it. This is enjoyable to me.

I am grateful for those that take the time to place a hide. Be it a P&G or a level 5 without their effort there would be no sport.

Being an Old fart I have all I can handle with my IPOD touch app right now but am not opposed to those with more tech needs. So if it is cost effective for Groundspeak I see no reason all should not go forward. For those opposed remember just because it is there does not mean you have to use it. Diff strokes as they say.
