Geocache adopter changing d/t levels
Lynx Humble replied to Smitherington's topic in General geocaching topics
Really. From the Help Center : ''In order for other geocachers to have a consistent experience when they find your cache, try to avoid editing your cache page after publication except for small edits that will improve the experience.'' https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=201 -
Geocache adopter changing d/t levels
Lynx Humble replied to Smitherington's topic in General geocaching topics
The latter for sure. I fully understand someone that made a special trip for a cache for it's Fizzy Grid and then the DT change to be super angry at the CO because the CO should have published a new listing instead according to guidelines. -
With current challenge rules finding 2 caches the same day is now forbidden...
-
When I did the Nova Scotia Delorme challenge I visited most of it during that time. With COVID I haven't travelled as much. Also didn't got the opportunity to sail to St John's, NFLD yet. So yeah haven't waymarked much recently. For the older visit I am out of the competition in 1965 my parents were just starting Middle School.

You can't use this trick on Sequential AL. Is there a GOOD reason they are sequential? Also are there other finders that reported signal issue? Did you contacted the CO about your misadventures?

Don't think they consider the pandemic at all in this promotion because they went the opposite direction of Wonder of the World (7 X 1 month period + extra souvenir vs any time in 18 months). So those in Australia got screwed in this more recent promotion.

Hum challenge about counties are allowed. I agree Groundspeak put out too many rules about challenge and the only one that should be there is that a checker can be made that prove that you qualify.

Hum ''Adventure Lab'' is the name of the app

Sorting Logs - IMHO, a Terrible Idea
Lynx Humble replied to TeamRabbitRun's topic in General geocaching topics
There are no notifications when someone gives you an upvote so it's unlikely they will notice. Not being in the app I wonder if more than 1% even use this feature. -
Hi RFR, Did you logged them all before the event? I logged mine afterwards and got the souvenir.
-
Hum it's not a glitch. Adventure lab are designed to be cheap quick +1

An easy improvement for Cache Owners owning multiple caches.

The automatic emails from Groundspeak. For every new hide I submit I get 2 emails and when it's published I get 3 more emails or 4 if on my new cache notifications... -

No improvement is easy with Groundspeak so forget about it. If they want to help hiders they could start by reducing the ridiculous amount of email we are getting from just hiding a cache... -
See this : https://forums.geocaching.com/GC/index.php?/topic/366505-bug-earthcache-found-but-no-souvenir/

Hum I guess I will need to update my initial post because I just logged one and didn't got it either in Canada... Adding this new bug to my very long list of reason I am not a Premium Member.

Not a bug you log too fast we are still Friday afternoon in America Edit : well apparently Groundspeak forgot to check their code once again and no one is getting the souvenir...

Feature suggestion - popup for cache
Lynx Humble replied to SamLowrey's topic in General geocaching topics
Not a fan of the multicache option it will cut foot traffic by at least 50%. The solution should be that extra waypoints like parking waypoint are showing up automatically on the map when you click a cache on the app and not buried under multiple layer of menu that you need to open to even check if there are extra waypoints... -

If you need a ladder T4 is low. According to the guidelines should be T5 -

If the owner didn't put it in the description you have to figure it yourself by using Google Map.

Enter coordinates to show the place on the map
Lynx Humble replied to Scooby_2's topic in How do I...?
You can add manually a waypoint on a cache page and it will show where it is when you click on it. The issues people have with the compass is you need to open a cache page to have access to it even if you only want to know where you are. -
Yes it's has already been reported
