  1. Why Groundspeak put road blocks with one hand and promote busy day (in newsletter) with the other then???? Why they release GC8NEAT that is ''funny business'' on steroid. Also you can't even do a Challenge about Busy Day so why Groundspeak even care about ''funny business"?
  2. I disagree with you, being at GZ is the consideration and the whole purpose of this topic before calling a DNF. If I see GZ through a fence and it's disturbed = DNF and NM If the fence is 1 km away and Don't see GZ = Write Note.
  3. The ones going to the event on the first day because they can only log their attended for the second day
  4. Hum not super useful in the current state : - Not in the app so good luck finding it for a new player - No screen shot of the app - Also no explanation about what is the "gear icon" (for new adventures)
  5. Well Groundspeak doesn't provide an instruction manual for the App so don't be surprised... That's why on the AL Facebook Forum there are regularly a post about what that ''gear thingy'' means or how to delete a test version...
  6. Well the bug to fix for the time off is super easy. Like I said before those under 5 completion default to 0-30 min instead of --:-- ......
  7. No because there are no reviewer involved. Maybe but I already answered why the 0-30 min issue in my previous post people. Groundspeak doesn't test their code properly and no ALs has a completion time of --:-- for under 5 completion since May
  8. I finally got the update and as I expected my first AL is over 120+ min because of the driving required and I guess people spend some time finding cache along the way and the second one under 30 min because you can walk it. It's nice they added if the lab is sequential or not but why not adding this information in the list tab? Not super useful when you need to click on each individual ones to check... I also have a strange bug on Android about missing rating value (see attached image) even if there are rating stars??? Edit : Another strange thing I see is for the ALs with more than 5 stages the timing doesn't seems to make any sense unless half the players used teleportation? Wondering if there are a coding issue that only calculate 5 stages instead of the 10. Edit #2 : Hum I think I find the culprit. It's a coding issue because ALs with less than 5 completions default to 0-30 min instead of --:-- Guess Groundspeak still forgot to do some essential testing before releasing a new update....
  9. 5 differents players that have completed it Yeah sadly the highest is 120+ min. Not very helpful for a lot of Adventure labs in my area that take a lot more than that Instead of those 6 time level you should simply display the median time or a least increase to 360+ minutes.
  10. Hum I guess its because it is so dry in Australia that a container can be damaged and still be generally signable??? Over here if a container is damaged there are a pretty high probability that the logbook is unsignable because of water ingress. The water ingress is so bad here that ''Logbook is wet'' should be a NM option.
  11. Yeah I normally do that inside the container with a sharpie when the logbook is too wet and I don't have paper on me. At least in my area it's the period when there was a lot of new caches being published and a lot of players at events. Now the publishing rate slowed down a lot in some areas and the events are smaller too. The number of cache is even going downwards in Quebec from a peak of 45k cache to now 40k.
  12. I personally consider 2006 part of the early years : - Before the introduction of Geocaching App - Before the golden era of 2009-2013 - Geocache code with only 4 characters instead of 5 so part of the 10% oldest On topic : I would remove "logbook is full" as an option for an NM. It's so minor and there are always a way to sign a cache even if the logbook is close to full.
  13. Not sure which manners you want me to improve. I was only answering with the same tone as yours. Disagreeing with some decisions made by Groundspeak is forbidden apparently?
  14. Well I might be wrong about update for Premium Members but someone should take some tutoring in double checking fact because it was in April not in May... For basic member my math is still right BTW with the introduction of multiple-choice questions in February. Still 7 months since the last significant update is too much time for a new product. Also this update about adventure pins in the main app would have been so much better and useful by showing all lab location of non-linear one instead of only 1/5 or 1/10 locations....
  15. Been asked so many times I stopped counting. Not sure why but Groundspeak hasn't done any update of any kind about ALs for the last 9 months.... Hire more staff please.
  16. You made a typo it should be instead : https://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.aspx?ul=Granpappa That works for a basic member (just tested it) but it only filter from distance from home (good enough for 29 founds)
  17. I really hope that Groundspeak will improve that ancient system. Not sure why we have to set dozen of notifications when you could easily just check multiple boxes for the cache types that you want....
  18. I got 24/7 but yeah some questions were strange with too many similar answers to choose from.
  19. I have found so many cache around electrical/telecommunications boxes that I stopped counting. They are fairly common around here No idea if they are really allowed in the first place because I don't have a regional wiki and the reviewer isn't from the area.
  20. Forget about getting a new geocache type. Groundspeak decided against it because of coding issues. If they ever overcome that issue Challenge cache type should be number 1 on that list of new cache type.
