  1. Download it and burn it onto a disc. What you get on the disc is just going to be an outdated version of the software
  2. The Garmin 60csx and 60 cx are hard to beat.
  3. I take it you're not looking for something to use only while driving and not out caching?
  4. You can download the software from Palm's website.
  5. I have done a cache with a lock on it but you need to find a TB first in order to get the key. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...13-a4661ff57b2f
  6. Just expect a group of people talking about caching and such. If you are new to caching though these little get togethers can really be helpful. Most cachers that show up to these are more then willing to answer any questions you may have.
  7. I have the 60CS and have used the meridian. My experience with the 60CS is not so good. It will almost loose signal just by the site of a tree. My old SporTrak Map does a much better job under heavy tree cover.
  8. Two different databases in GSAK should solve your issue. Just load up the caches for the area you're going to be in when you go out.
  9. That was lastnight and this problem happened today. It seems like that "fix" did not take care of the problem. It was looking very promissing though.
  10. Its not worth it at all. Besides that, the 60CS has been discontinued.
  11. I have been thinking about doing that with my crappy 60CS
  12. Even if you wasn't getting it for free, Lowrance builds quality units.
  13. Well if you're bloccking the antenna then yes.
  14. That would be a whole different topic.
  15. Anytime you cover the antenna you are going to loose signal.
  16. I just wanted to point out that one review so you could see the limits it has on the maps that go in it.
  17. That wasn't a complaint, it was a fact and with you replying to it only proves my theory. I guess you're going to try picking all of my posts apart now...
  18. I sure wish I could do that. Yesterdays and last nights blizzard put and end to that
  19. Then you didn't look at the cache page. There is absolutely no reason for them to place this cache other then getting free advertisment for the park and getting paid for it.
  20. OOPHS Should read GSAK OK so you used GSAK to load a cachemate file onto your palm? If so then all you need to do is open cachemate, tap on cachmate in the upper left and then select Delete Records (should be the first option).
  21. Yup its still coming up the the message. One would think that the server wouldn't be "too busy" at 4pm est. We better not complain though or the people that complain about complaining will be all over us... I'll just say that we are reporting it and not complaining
  22. And comments like that is why I'm done with it. I find it funny how you people feel its ok for you to complain but jump on other people when they have a different view. BTW the site is down again...
  23. Well I just tried and got the Server Too Busy message. Trying again right now and it just wont open anything.
  24. Yes I would recommend updating it. Anyone can access the download page on their site, its just not as easy to find since the unit is discontinued. When you click on Support look under where the search box is and you will see "Information for older products no longer in production can be found on the Legacy Products page. There you'll find products dating back to 1995." Just click on the link in that and you will be able to find your GPS.
