  1. I am in Greenland. In my wanderings, I visited an area named Camp Tutu that has long since been abandoned. I found a Danish benchmark there. Marked it and took some pictures. The words on the disk in Danish are "GEODAETISK INSTITUT FREDET PUNKT" which means "Geodetic Institute preserved and POINT" according to Google Translate. Other than the unique aspect of where this thing is, is there anywhere to log this find?
  2. I too, feel uncomfortable with the term "Muggle". I also see a need for a word or phrase to identify those "not of the body". I prefer the term "Landru". Just kidding. I have used "Civilian" in a couple of logs to describe non caching types hanging out in the area I was seaching. A term that readily distiguishes "us" from "them". Only 2 more letters on the ol' keyboard. Maybe not the most interesting choice, but gets the job done. My Two Cents
  3. I use a LED flashlight made by INOVA. I think it was aound $20.00. It is about 8" long and REAL bright. The best part is that the on/off switch is a push button on the rear that makes it pretty much impossible for it to accidentally get turned in in your cache bag or backpack and then be dead when you need it. It is big enough to supply a big bright light, yet small enough to be stored easily and fits in your mouth when 2 hands are needed.
  4. I would love to find something like that in a cache. Unfortunately, I doubt if I would be packing anything around even close to the same value to leave in its place. Maybe you could "pardon" the cacher who took it somehow.
