  1. Thank you so much! Geocaching has brought so many gifts into my life...all of which I am grateful for today. I have friends....everywhere and I am truly blessed. I want to thank my husband for being my rock, the one person that has always believed in me and stood beside me. When he asked me to marry him I told him there was one condition...he had to love geocaching. I am so proud to be your wife. He made my 1000th find a day I will never forget.
  2. THANKS! I figured out how to do it. I wanted to just enter the GC number in that box and you can do that but the information is really slow to register. It's actually faster to do it by individual cache. I thought it wasn't working but it is....it just takes time. I appreciate it! GB TLC
  3. Is there a way to add the cache to the "list" but NOT the page?
  4. I'm having trouble adding caches to my bookmark list? There are no instructions on the Managing Your Bookmarks page. Does anyone know of a forum reference where this has been discussed? Does anyone have some simple instruction? Thanks Strohem
  5. Rinkey and Jim Honey's first date involved geocaching (she was a geocacher, he wasn't) and they just celebrated 2 years of dating and geocaching! Way cool!
  6. Way to go! We just moved to Terre Haute and jumped into some of your caches today. I am hoping to get out of the 800's that I have been in forever. Take care. Strohem

Deermark....you told me that you had to clean the carpets in your closets yesterday??? Don't tell me that you went to Lafayette for pizza? I'm going to check your logs
  8. I think logging your own event would be the least of your worries. A better question would probably be "Why am I such a leper?" I don't qualify as I can't get past the first part of your query. I don't log our events as attended. To tell you the truth, I was concerned about folks showing up at our meetings. I mean it is on a weekday. I think the lowest attendance was five or six folks. A lot of the time it upwards of twenty. I figure that's not too shabby for a weekday chat-n-chew. I agree with SuzyQ's...post it and they will come. My husband and I log our own finds (instead of as a team...I started caching before he did) and we take turns "hosting" events. If he "hosts" the event online then I log it and then I post the next event.
  9. Greetings! We have received SO many warm wishes and prayers and just wanted to take this opportunity before we head to Florida to say THANK YOU! We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas! We hope to see you on the 30th. Be safe. Happy Holidays! Tricia and Evan

  11. You have lots of time to cache when you only work one hour a week Congrats! Strohem
  12. I've done it and think it's a good idea. I use to cache alone quite a bit and it was always nice to know that I had a friend on the other end of the phone who could find me if I got hurt or lost.
  13. Way to go! You guys are good people! Strohem

The website looks great and I will keep checking back for updates. The planning around this concept sounds workable for everyone. I think it's great that cachers in Indiana can work together to try and meet everyone's wants. Great job! Happy Caching! Strohem
  23. I think he is at 109 right now! Thanks to everyone who emailed him. He really did get a kick out of it. You guys are the best! Strohem
  24. Great job!! Please put 3 aside for me! Thanks! Strohem
  25. Two years ago Father's Day I took my dad caching. I thought he would either love it or hate it. He's in his late 60's and is retired. Needless to say, he loved it. He started talking to everyone about it! Can you imagine that When his birthday rolled around that next spring I decided to give him my GPS as I was trading mine in for a fancier model. Slowly but surely we got an account set up for him and he started to venture out on his own. As you well know, it opened his eyes to so many new things and provides him with so many blessings. Yesterday (14 months later) he got his 100th find! I am so proud of him and very happy for him. If you have a minute...drop Jubal85 an email through his profile page and congratulate him. He'll get a kick out it. Happy Caching! Strohem
