  1. Oh dear. I took a nasty fall during the placing of a cache on a rocky shore of Lake Ontario and our GPS unit was damaged pretty bad. Screen cracked and 2 buttons missing. It's a good hide though. So I guess in some way it is worth it. I am looking for a working or non working GARMIN GPS MAP76 or a GARMIN GPSMap76C. If you have accessories as well I will take them too. I really like this unit. I'll heal. I just need to fix my GPS. smile.gif

  3. One of my buttons on my GPSMap76 has come out. I am using a piece of cardboard in the meantime. Will they mail out trivial little items like that if I contact them? And do I do it through their website?
  4. Awww...... I'll have to look elsewhere. I discovered the Army Surplus store in town has closed up shop. Closest one is Hamilton (1/2hr drive) and they want $20 each! Thirty a piece if I go to Toronto! But being a truck driver has it's privilages! I have friends in Ft. Wayne, IN looking in their AS stores since they are abundant there. They normally pay $10 for one. One even knows where he can get boxes for bazooka ammo. Big an red. I will keep everyone updated. I will also check out princess auto. I o by there 2X a week down the 402. And if anyone is looking for ammo boxes in Southern Ontario try Princess Auto. We went to the one in Hamilton on Barton St E. and they had over 50 of them. Some in better shape than others but...

  6. I don;t remember which it was. I did log it in the log book and explained I was a muggle. I also left a canadian quarter with something on it (not a poppy but something earlier) and took a little ceramic house. It was a tupprware container. I do remember that. But we are currently looking for the Army Surplus stores of Niagara. We need some more containers. In fact I am just printing up the muggler cards for them as we speak. Keep watching www.cobraeliteops.org for information on the cache release dates. We are also planning a few more series such as a night-hunt series with firetacks, a possible railway series, a canal series and a graveyard series. If anyone has any ideas on some cool ideas for caches they can contact us through the website! Happy hunting!
  7. We've been running an internet gaming clan now for quite a few years and have recently found the joys of GEOCACHING. So we've actually expanded the clan into other events. Geocaching is one of them. We're in the process of preparing our premier series for Niagara called C.O.B.R.A. Values. There will be a FTF prize in each box. We are planning on using mostly ammo boxes. There will be a series of 8 caches. We hope everyone will enjoy them. We've fallen in love with geocaching so much we could not resist doing this We are trying to get our other clan members involced and statrting divisions in their areas. (Virginia, Florida, NY, belgium, Regina, etc.) You can visit us at http://www.cobraeliteops.org and click on GEOCACHING in the red navigational bar to watch for updates as to when they will be placed. Happy hunting everyone! And remember it is always good to CITO no matter WHERE you go for your caches.
