Just a quick note of thanks to Jeremy (evil as he may be) for his contributions and insight to this thread. Even though the topics of Ulmer and Buxley may fall under the heading of "none of my stinking business", it's always interesting to learn the stories of any organizations development......painful or gleeful as they may be. I don't know of any successful sport, business or organization that didn't encounter "we're growing too fast", "that's not the way we use to do it" or "I'm taking my toys and going home". However, I'm certain there are many unsuccessful entities by the wayside that never enjoyed these issues. All winning ventures need to remember where they came from and that's why I would like to thank Jeremy for sharing some of those stories. I'm sure there are many more......and I would love to hear them. Myabe over a pint one day. Scoob

"Listen buddy, if you turn on that hose and get this logbook wet I will promptly inform the cache owner of your poor caching manners! THEN I'll tell everyone in the FORUMS about it!!"
-
"Actually officer, I did do it on purpose......now, could you just take that ladder thingy over there and take a look at that box on the wire.........let me know if it has a log book in it." Scoob

Not sure I understand the point. If someone only wants to have a 6 month cache.......you archive it after 6 months and go pick it up.

Wow.....that's pretty cut and dry. While I agree that TB's are to be moved via caches, I completely disagree with the idea that this is a hard and fast rule. As the TB owner.....you can do whatever you wish with your TB. You can post new messages and goals on the page, you can ask someone to send it home or send it to someone else. It's yours and that makes you the master of your TB domain. Have fun with it. Scoob

I received 2 YJTB's a little over a weekago. I created the "Montrose TB Exchange" cache and placed my first one there. The second is waiting for another cache that I'm creating and should be done within a week or so. I don't think I'm hanging on to it to long.....just trying to do a good job of sending it out in style. I have a feeling that with 4000 YJTB's out there, this time next year we'll be seening Jeeps everywhere. Scoob

I followed Cybret's paperless instruction to a T and it worked. Lots of steps and mouse clicks but it was working fine. When I found CacheMate it was like light shining down from heaven (okay, that's a little much, but you get the idea). Now with GSAK it's never been so easy. What's next....some sort of direct firewire hook-up to my brain where all the info is sorted and stored? Can't go wrong with CacheMate & GSAK.....that is, until the NEXT big thing comes alone. You know....something like a program for your palm that leads you to the cache then makes you ham sandwich and calls you "Sir" alot. :-) Scoob

I just got mine last night and the first thing I noticed was the loose windshield and roll bar. When I heard that these were DieCast I was impressed but those two componets aren't long for this world. Scoob
