Are you referring to a magenta line on the map running from your current position to the geocache, or the arrow on the compass? Both. On the map display, I will see a magenta line from my location to a geocache and the compass arrow pointing to it, as well. It's almost as if the gps is auto selecting the next close geocache. Changing the profile to "recreation" from "geocache" doesn't seem to make any difference. I was at a local grand opening of a Cabela's in the Denver area yesterday where I was approached by a Garmin rep who asked if I had any questions. I think he was sorry he asked. :^)

It seems as if when I am geocaching with my 450t and report a geocache found/lost/etc, that I can't get out of a mode where the compass is pointing at a geocache. Consequently, on the map page, regardless of profile, my location has a bearing line pointing to a geocache. The only way I've been able to address the issue is by connecting the gps to a computer and pulling all geocaches off the device. Is this normal? If there are geocaches loaded, and I no longer want to locate a geocache, how do dis-associate the geocaches that are on the device?
