  1. What a horrible thing to say. Would you have said that if it had not been for the nasty tone of Haggis Hunter's keynote root-post and the title and strapline of his personally unpleasant thread? I hope not. My post was made totally in jest and a play on your picture. The sort of thing that can be seen from my track history of posts. Your response to my post is to take it out of context and considering this thread is about the content of your cache log everything you have posted in your defence I now have no choice but to view as totally invalid. If you are naively shunting me out of a position of total neutrality then a simple appology will set things straight. I look forward to your response. Paul
  2. Oh, and you might feel like doing some caching as well but the sort of thing that HH advises usually takes priority!!
  3. Just checked the attendance list for the next SDGO on 26 Feb and he's not on it. If he turns up with his axe it could be a very interesting event!!
  4. Sorry Brian, I must remember to think of mortals! I'm too used to rushing the summit guns ablaze firing from the hip! Always catches the enemy by surprise. You can imagine them on the top of Ben Nevis... "We're under attack, where the hell did that lot come from?!"
  5. Quite possible John, my info is quite a few months old. I'll keep an eye out for more info and report back!
  6. And then Firth of Forth, you have the candidate for 6 points: "so obsessed with Geocaching has no time for dating!" Immediate crash to zero!
  7. Good point on the insect repellent izzardno1. Half way up you want to rest up a moment and take in the scenery but get eaten alive! I recommend Achintee Farm guest house. I've stayed there before, very welcoming and relaxing. Right on the foot of the Ben so boots on and straight up you go! Book early as it's obviously popular. Prices are average for the area!
  8. Beware! I read something about six months ago in the IAM magazine "Advanced Driving" that the law regarding speed trap detection devices was to be tightened up and reintroduced in 2005. The new law would extend to include and make illegal the use of devices to plot and prewarn of the position of speed cameras. I'm still keeping watch for an update on this one!
  9. If anyone can get it into the Southampton area by the weekend 19/20th I'll pick it up and take it to Scotland for the event the following weekend.
  10. If you want to join me I'll probably do the Quest overnight on the way back from the Ben?! What?!
  11. Now you're all being silly (he remarked in a very alouf and adult like manner!)! Anyway what's this trig point topic doing on a Geocaching forum? Have you not worked out the difference yet Ian?! And, shame on everyone else who replied! What? Me?!
  12. Did you have to bring this back to the top Couparangus?! I resisted temptation first time around! I've still a few caches up that way to do so another visit to the Ben would be quite welcome. Peter (House of Boo), got your ears on good buddy? There's a top class camp site in the Glen, let's make it even more worthwhile as this could be an in-tents (intense!) event cache! If we're looking at the end of June begining of July then please avoid the first weekend in July as that's the National Motorcycle Rally and the second round of the Three Nations Challenge, yes, something that takes priority over my Geocaching activities!
  13. Have to admit chaps it was me! Someone had piled a load of stones up against it covering the flush bracket so I found it was easier to move the trig rather than all those stones. Maybe the next visitor can move it back but turn it round so the flush bracket is away from the stones?
  14. How many points for a ford (river crossing)? Extra points for creating one without getting stuck or being crucified by environmentalists?!
  15. I have a Police style hi-vis coat for work but comes in very handy when searching for those roadside trigpoints (blocks, rivets, etc, and sometimes even pillars!). The coat and with the Volvo parked on site has the added effect of calming traffic!!
