  1. I would like to know if the display is better on 450 than 550... This is mention in the 450 specification and not 550 "sunlight-readable"
  2. Garmin has updated the errors on the specification for the 450/450t It now show 2000 Waypoints, 200 routes etc
  3. Just to show how complicate Garmin do this, all Nüvi do get WAAS satellite, they just removed it from the satellite view screen. You can get a 765 to show waas birds, if you use the Taiwan firmware.
  4. [qoute]Heard that in Norway you now have separate swimming pools for men and women ?[/qoute] No, and I do not hope that day come... [qoute]PS: Initially I didn't intent to answer but I can't accept that you just hinted the US was indirectly responsible for terrorism ![/qoute] They are not, but I do not think bombing any of the Asian country will help. In fact I think it will make it worse. PS: In Norway Police do not carry gun, and I think that helps soften up the climate.
  5. I do hope to blogg is correct. You can now compare 450 with 550, and it seems that blogg is not in sync with this page. https://buy.garmin.com/shop/compare.do?cID=...reProduct=26875
  6. Garmins own homepage has been updated 450 https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=145&pID=63349 450t https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=145&pID=63350 NB sepc list is not the same on Garmin homepage and blogg waypoints homepage 1000 blogg 2000 routes homepage 50 blogg 200 Why is there an russian version of the 450?? Basemap? 450T version Oregon 450t with topographic maps for the United States Oregon 450t with Recreational Map of Europe Oregon 450t, Topo Canada Oregon 450t, Topo Australia Oregon 450t, Taiwan
  7. And now US is going to start war to a new country, Yemen. This will not help at all, only get more people pissed off. Maybe Obama did not read my post: Smile to the world and it smile back at you.
  8. Now it's official http://garmin.blogs.com/pr/2009/12/garmin-...anchId=newsroom http://garmin.blogs.com/my_weblog/2009/12/...ustom-maps.html Responsive to the touch of a finger, yet resistant to the rigors of nature, Oregon 450t and Oregon 450 simplify navigation through a glove-friendly touchscreen interface. This bright 3” color display is easier than ever to read and use in all conditions. Other key upgrades include user-selectable dashboards, enhanced track navigation, high-speed USB for faster map transfers with your computer, photo navigation and the 3-axis tilt-compensated electronic compass, which shows your heading even when you’re standing still, without the need to hold it level. The new dashboards give users the ability to customize the appearance of various pages on your Oregon, including the geocaching, compass, stopwatch and elevation functions. For hikers, cyclists and trail runners, the enhanced track navigation will prove especially useful. When navigating to a destination on an active track, users will see the changes in elevation ahead of them as well as where they’ve been. Also, waypoints and other key locations along the active route – such as start, end and high and low elevation points – now appear on the map and active route pages. The new Oregon units also include a barometric altimeter, paperless geocaching and wireless exchange of tracks, waypoints, routes and geocaches with compatible Oregon, Dakota, Colorado® and Foretrex® devices.
  9. Smile to the world and it smile back at you. Seems that we are some off topic here...
  10. True, but I have been to many country and US is one of the worst to get into.
  11. More shops with the new Oregon 450 >> LINK << BassPro tried removed the original, but Google do remember Lebaron has an PDF >>HERE<< So my guess it that it's out soon
  12. Soon we all need to fly naked or even worse, not fly at all, just to stupid terrorists. Also American has some guilt in this, since they try to prevent anything to happens instead of relax some. Last year when I did go to US, it felt that it would be more easy to escape a prison than to come into US (several hours in line, fingerprint, eye scan +++) Cominging back to Norway was a 15 min walk from plane to get out of terminale. Sorry for being off topic. I do normally use GPS on all long flight and have never had any problem with that. If plane crash and they find my GPS, they have an extra log for the flight If they an GPS and they do not show any flight info on screen, it would still not be any problem to figure out where I am, just look out window... or use the clock to calculate it.

  14. I am waiting/hoping for this functions to come on Colorado.
  15. Garmin list 4.00 as latest firmware for 60CSx https://buy.garmin.com/shop/store/downloads...145&pID=310 What I do know is that Garmin did do some with all firmware for Nüvi that made it impossible to downgrade if you have upgraded to a certain version. Eks 765. You can downgrade from 3.8 to any older, but if you upgrade passed 4.x, you can only downgrade to 4.0. My guess is that thy have added functionality that they do not want user to remove, like time of first fix, new lock system for map etc.
  16. If you have lots of time to spare, you can also make a transparent maps from the cache, so you can see them on top of any map at any zoom level.
  17. If you are using the Nüvi Macro and convert GPX caches to POI, there are no limit of how many cache you can have. Millions if you like. (Disk Size will stop you of course)
  18. This is how it has been on Garmin the latest years. They are releasing to many GPS and the user who have bought the "latest" version, will be upset that one month later, there is a new version. Look at the Nüvi series. I have given up counting the version when Garmin passed 40 versions. Here is a PDF that do list the new Oregon GPS. http://www.garmin.com/garmin/webdav/site/e...Octubre09_4.pdf As you see this page on Garmins home page
  19. Garmin are releasing two new Oregon this Christmas. Oregon 450 Oregon 450T Some info here: http://www.gpsfix.net/garmin-oregon-450-and-450t-rumo/ 010-00697-40 Oregon 450 010-00697-42 Oregon 450T
  20. Same for all Colorado, not specific to 400t. (Try to change header of the post)
  21. With the new firmware where you can create maps from jpeg, Oregon is far superior to 60CSX in mapmaking.
  22. Then I will not download and install. But I will post a comment to Garmin and ask when they will fix it.
