  1. At 3pm today a film crew will be at the Jimi Hendrix Memorial geocache (GC1A1EP) working on a documentary. The host will be Tyler MacNiven from the TV show "The Amazing Race 9." Look him up on Youtube. -Good stuff.
  2. Sorry to hear that you lost your camera at my cache. Did you try calling the rental car people? I always take a Sharpie pen and write my name and cell number real big on a sheet a paper, then photo it as my first photo in case someone feels the need to be honest. Thanks for visiting.
  3. I placed a cache at the cemetery where Jimi Hendrix is burried. Although I don't mind searching for cemetery caches, I chose to place mine on the property line, within view of Jimi, a short walk away. My favorite cemetery cache is the virtual one where Bruce Lee and Brandon Lee are burried. Recently someone decided to leave a racist sticker and some bullets in my Jimi Hendrix Memorial cache and it made me happy that I didn't place the cache "at" his grave...
  4. Mine did that pretty frequently as well. I got in the habit of recalibrating the compass every time I turned on the unit although Garmin suggests only doing so when you travel 100+ miles, experience a large temperature change, and every time you change the batteries. Remember to calibrate as per the instructions, away from vehicles, buildings, etc., and with a clear view of the sky. Sometimes if you walk too slowly or stand still, the 60csx seems to get confused when it's switching between the electronic and magnetic compass. Instructions on adjusting the time it takes to switch between electronic and magnetic compass are found on page 49 of your manual. ~moon
  5. Is there any way to see who has your cache on their "watch list?" ~moonweed
  6. For those interested... I've started a new cache at the Hendrix Memorial to replace the one that was archived last year. I contacted the owner and he agreed to allow me to adopt the old Hendrix cache but in the end I just made a new one since I couldn't unarchive it as "virtual." GC1A1EP "The Wind Cries Mary..." ~moonweed
  7. Thanks for pointing out the obvious, and thanks for the reply on the other one. As I noted at the start of the other thread, I didn't know if it belonged in that forum or not. When I saw this forum I thought it was a better home for this thread. I posted here and quickly discovered that I couldn't delete the other one. Sorry for my newbieness (see my thread count). I avoid posting here because these are some of the most hostile boards I've come across anywhere. It appears there is support of both sides of this issue although why people think audit logs on a public cache is a bad idea is beyond me. Those who think its a bad idea don't seem to have a problem with audit logs having been visable on premium only caches all this time. Back to lurking and keeping my mouth shut ~moon
  8. As a premium member, I'd like the ability to view audit logs for my placed caches regardless of being set to "public" or "premium members only." Currenly you can only view the audit logs when you have your placed cache set to "premium members only." Is there a good reason why we can't do so, or did this just get overlooked? Thanks, ~moonweed
  9. There's an underwater one in my neighborhood that's been there since 2006. You might contact the owner for details. GCXZD7 -It's Where? ~moonweed
  10. I'm unsure if this is the proper forum to post "feature suggestions" in but here goes... As a premium member, I'd like the ability to view audit logs for my placed caches regardless of being set to "public" or "premium members only." Currenly you can only view the audit logs when you have your cache set to "premium members only." Is there a good reason why we can't do so, or did this just get overlooked? Thanks, ~moonweed
