  1. There is quite a good Australian caYshing podcast which I just cannot listen to because of the way they pronounce caYsh!!
  2. Ooops - yep... that did it... Ta!!!!! I also put %hint in the box marked Waypoint description. You only get the first n (can't remember exactly how many) characters but it often saves looking up the hint elsewhere.
  3. This is something I was thinking of attempting. I can understand how a weekly query will pick up the new caches but how do you keep on top of the inactive/active status and possibly more importantly those that have been archived that week?
  4. I am up to 36 now. Most of these were as a by-product of travelling round the country for work. Unfortunately I don't often have a need to go to the areas missing so far (North and SW) so I will have to plan some weekends away. I would have liked to complete it within a year - the first one I got was on 17th December last year - but I don't think that will happen. My favourite so far is Shropshire.
  5. I didn't attend this year but I would definately go a Mega in Bristol next year. As soon as the date is announced it will be in the diary.
  6. I use a 60CSx and have just bought my daughter a Colorado for her birthday (and Christmas). I upgraded the software to version 2.6 and we have been caching together and we couldn't detect any difference in the accuracy. The Colorado menus would take a 60Csx user a bit of getting used to but I do like the the cache details on the unit - no more juggling the GPSr and the PDA. If I lost my 60Csx (sympathies BTW) I would replace it with either a colorado or maybe an oregon.
  7. No problem in Chichester. They opened the envelope in front of me read the leaflet and gave me the coin. They also have a poster to put up in store so I suspect many of these coins will go to Muggles never to be seen again. On the other hand the fewer that are registered the higher my chance of winning an Oregon. Daughter (who has obviously got more nerve than me has picked up TWO in Salisbury. All Big Ben. My guess is the others will be sent to the other shops over the period of the promotion.
  8. Ignore the previous post. I sent it by mistake while I was editing Thanks for the advice guys. Unfortunately I won't be visiting Cape Town this trip. I will definitely go for the sundowner cache. Thanks also to Carbon Hunter. I'll send you an email in a week or so when I will have more details of exactly when I'll be in town. Best Wishes Gaugeman

  10. We will be visiting relatives in Jo’burg next month and this is the first time in South Africa since taking up geocaching. Within the limited time that I will no doubt be allowed I would like to get a few South African caches. Has anyone got any suggestions for caches near the sort of places that we might like to visit as tourists with our family. We will be staying in the North Riding area and possibly visiting the vicinity of Hartbeesport dam. Many Thanks - Gaugeman
  11. It's going to be copper. Iron is in haemoglobin, copper is in crustacyanin which is the blue pigment lobsters have in their blood. Captain Haddock knows these things... DING - too easy!!!! Over to you
  12. Thanks - it's good to know it isn't anything I did or did not do!
  13. Whoops - sorry about the last post. I am new to geocaching (and forums!) and have been following this thread with interest. I have loaded Edgemasters great script to use the OS maps. The only problem I now have is that the location markers on the OS map appear in the main cache details page but although the OS map is present on the print friendly version the markers are not.
