  1. Thanks for the quick reply and explanation!
  2. It's been well over a year now that safari on ios no longer shows the maps and graphs on our stats pages. Is this ever going to be fixed? We used to be able to see them. Or....is this a ios/safari problem?
  3. I noticed the same thing.....I think it's a problem after the iOS 7 update too!

    Pocket query?

I've been waiting an hour for my PQ to generate this morning.....so far nothing......I wonder if there is a glitch after the server update last night??
  7. Is it no longer possible to down load the my finds pocket query?? I updated mine today but it is not showing up like a regular PQ is. Thanks in advance for looking into it.
  8. Hi everyone I tried to post my finds tonight with the geocaching app for the iPhone/iPod touch and the logs did not autopost as they were supposed to. I did find the posts in the field notes section and they were in duplicate FYI team Torossi
  9. Take the GPSr. The virtual are fine and like many posts hove pointed out, go to Waymarking.com and look for hidden Mickey's and Disney Benchmarks!! Have a great trip.
  10. Sweet... What is it worth? $9.99 (Canadian) With the WI FI capability of the touch I identify the caches I want to find. I can then save the cache page to the touch and call up the info in the field even if no WI FI is available. So far I have had no problems with it and I think it makes for a great paperless way to geocache. Unfortunatly there is no free tial version to use.
  11. Buy the Groundspeak Geocaching App for the ipod Toich/Iphone and you are on your way. I use this on my touch and have had great success with it
  12. The virtuals are fine, we found all 6 this past summer. I agree with the other posters as well who mentioned finding Disney Benchmarks or Hidden Mickeys. Both types can be found on the Waymarking site. Have a great trip
  13. You can get a serial to USB cable at any electonics store. I have done that and it works just fine to download from Geocaching.com.
  14. I had the opportunity to get all three caches last winter!!! There is something to be said about caching on the beach in 80 degree weather. Don't forget to look for caches in all the ports of call the ship makes. Enjoy
  15. I downloaded the app on Friday and used it while Caching on the road this weekend. I use an Ipod Touch and really like the app. There is enough wi-fi around to locate nearby files and save them. This is a great paperless solution. I have had one hic up as I had to reload the app Sunday night as I could not open the save file window.. since then there has been no problems. Keep it coming
  16. I have alos done the upgrade to 3.90 and no more problems. I used a serial to USB cable and it worked smoothly.
  17. For me I email the printable web page to my gmail account and then download the email to the Ipod touch. The page is then visible as an email even when I have the wi-fi off. So far I have been happy with this simple solition.
  18. Well just today we found a real elephant near a cache in Central Canada!!! (ok it was in the parking lot of our football stadium where a circus had set up for a show, and the elephant and trainer were out for a walk)
  19. Welcome to Winnipeg in Friendly Manitoba!! Lots of caches to be found, have fun!!!
  20. I was recently on a cruise and cached at all the ports of call! No problem with the GPSr. It was great for my daughter and I, as we would go up top at least twice a day to get a location fix for the ship and plot or location on the map on the GPSr. Have fun and lots of luck hunting.
  21. Just an FYI for the Etrex Legend, Miragee is correct that it comes with a serial cable, however serial to USB cables are easily found at Best Buy etc and are relatively inexpensive. I am happy with this unit along with my Streetpilot C330.
  22. I used the C330 Streetpilot to geocache for the first few months. It works fine for regular caches, but as the previous post indicated you can not manually put coordinates on it. Thus mystery caches and multi caches do not work. As well you would need another unit to hide a cache since again you can not actually get the coordinates from the unit. I now also have an Etrex Legend that I use for geocaching. I do like C330 in the car for navigation however, it has been great on road trips.
  23. For our Garmin Street Pilot my kids affectionatly call the female voice "the GPS lady" I like the "Ziggy" title for your handheld!!
  24. This sounds like a cool idea I just returned from a cruise and geocached at all the ports of call. To me it would make sense to use the ships home port as the event location. Once on board, teaching sessions could be done to explain geocaching etc. The GPSr was great on the ship to see where on the planet the ship was, and what course and speed we were heading. Once at your ports of call there should be lots of opportunity to cache to regular caches and most likely virtual caches etc. If the cruise line has a private island or beach it is possible that caches exist there, and it is for sure a fun way to learn about geocaching. Good luck!!!
