  1. Thanks Team Delorme for you response. I do know that your maps are top of the line. And I do know that the earthmate does not have an electronic compass. both of these features aren't at the top of my list of priority. I am concerned mostly with accuracy. If the earthmate is the more accurate then the maps would be a bonus. if the 76csx is the most accurate then the compass would be the bonus for me. I need some ensight on the accuracy, ability to maintain signal in thick cover and length of time needed to aquire a fix. I also am having a hard time getting specifics on the delorm's required occupation time and is it a 1,2, or 3 drms. also does it have a location averaging option?

  3. I am new to these forums but not neccessarily new to geocaching or using GPSs. I have look through many posts here but would like to ask a specific question. I currently use a garmin etrex (very basic) and am looking to do a serious upgrade. I am considering 3 different models... the 60csx, 76csx and the earthmate. My main areas of concern are (in order of priority) 1. accuracy 2. ability to maintain signal in deep cover and mountains 3. time that it takes to aquire an accurate location. I am also interested in battery life, durability, screen size, ease of use, and electronic compass. I haven't used maps on a GPS (mostly because of the very basic model I own) but would like your opinion on that also. Thank you all in advance for reading and sharing your experience/opinions Snakemaistre
