I attempted to get my Geomate Jr out and get it updated as a guy I work with is now interested in Geocaching. He has kids and figured this would help him by letting him use it for his kids. I clicked the link on my desk top and it comes up with an ERROR!!!!! I only got it for my youngest and she didn't like it compared to a real GPS. JJJFishin

I have the update kit for the one I have. The thing I have figured out is, by turning the unit off when your away from the area that you first turned it on from causes it to load up other ones that the first 20 that I have aready found. I have a yearly membership with Geocaching so I have a pocket query sent to me. With just ones from my area that I have not found. I update them from uploading them to geomate jr website. The biggest thing is turning it off as far from the place where you first turn it on for the day. That way when you turn it back on it will load the ones closest to your present location. JJJFishin

Hello everyone I have a Geomate with the update kit. I have held onto it because they said that you will beable to load pocket queries. When I first got a email saying that some time in Dec. this was going to happen. I told myself we shall see. When I checked back and it was there on the update page, I had to try it out. Well it didn't work so I sent off a email and I got three back and it now works. Thanks to the TEC's that did this I can't wait till my youngest gets back home to let her try it out. JJJFishin

Hi, I work for Geomate. A couple of things i just want to mention. You can add in upto 500 custom caches (waypoints) Not just 5! 5 would be too easy! Also we are working on bringing out Pocket Query support. So watch this space... Thanks! I have been checking your site as I got a email telling me that pocket queries will be avalable in Dec. now I see that the link is there and I have attempted it and I get a IO error when I try I am going to send a email to Warren from earlier in this thread. There is a aplication that you can put all the info for caches into a Ipod so you can read it. My daughter has one but she says not for caching. I have a Delorme pn-40 and it is paperless and it comes with map software that I have installed on a mini laptop.Google earth can show all caches if you click the link yo do this and as you pan around the caches show up you can print the map image from there.

You can get pocket queres sent to you then open them in easygps software you just need to know what the com port # is to send it to the GPS using the easy GPS software. JJJFishin

I ordered one for my daughter. She is used to a regular GPS with maps she didn't like it. I see that you can add your own way points now but only 5 at a time. I put one in that was a 5 in diffuculty and it worked as far as pointing me to it. The thought of putting in a pocket quere would be nice thing. I will have to hold onto it if it is in the future to come out. JJJFishin

Go back to the listing from the cache that you took it from open up the TB listing look at any photo's if any the number maybe there. JJJFishin

I have been looking for a pn-40 the SE has 8 GB ram the ones that are 250 only have 500 MB that is a good price.

I have a PN-20 it works well. The software is some getting used to but not bad. I had Delorme street software before getting the PN-20 with a LT-20 USB GPS. I have a Mini Laptop that I use to get me from one cache to the other while driving I have the Topo 7.0 installed on it now. The fact I can see the notes of the cache without paper is very nice. This has just come about. The new topo 8.0 is being sold with all new units from Delorme. I am saving my pennys for the PN-40. JJJFishin

I have been having a problem with the plugin it will let me send 2 caches to my pn-20 then it will not do anything after that as it just sits there spinning I have to x out of internet explorer 7.0 and sign back in to get it to work for 2 more caches it worked before I updated to 1.6 beta but now it seems to not work.
