    Virus In Pq?

I just ran a PQ and when it came through my email I got a message from Yahoo Mail. I've never gotten this message before so maybe it's something to look into? "Yahoo! Mail Virus Protection detected a virus ""in the file '"92162.gpx"', attached to the enclosed email message. We scanned the file using Norton AntiVirus but were unable to clean it. Therefore, we removed the content of the attachment from the message. Please contact the message sender if you want to receive the attachment. They must clean the file and resend it before we can deliver it to you safely."
  7. I got a new Zire off of ebay for $42 shipped. Bought the $7.00 Cachemate program. Both work great together. I have about 700 caches loaded and there's still memory for more. Sometimes I use GSAK to edit my pocket queries and then load it onto the Zire.
  8. Got back from Pennsylvania a few days ago. I was able to hit a couple of C.C. Cooper Agency's caches and in another cache, even found one of his keychains. See below. Man, three of the caches were in a forest, well off the trail. Everything was damp and the mosquitoes were out. Hadn't seen poison ivy in many years so I had to be sure not to touch anything with three leaves. The brush was so thick in areas I was sure I was gonna get some. But so far so good. Knock on wood. Glad to be back in CA!
  9. Hey Marky, I'll be out of town for a few days, so I'll have limited computer access but I just wanted to pre-congratulate you and Joani on your 3000th find!
  10. Nevermind, I just found "Projection" on the screen that shows your lat/lon position.
  11. I know this is an old topic but I was wondering if I could do this on a Meridian Green. Thanks in advance.
  12. I do exactly what WalruZ does except I have a Palm Zire that I bought new on ebay for $42 shipped. It only has 2MB of memory but I've loaded about 700 caches onto it. That takes up most of the memory, but caching is the only thing I use the PDA for. I like using it because I can be driving around, check out my GPSr if there's any nearby caches, and the info about the caches will be right there on my PDA.
  13. If I search for the cache and don't find it, I log a DNF. I probably log 1 DNF for every 10 finds. No big deal. I also keep every one of my DNF on my watchlist to see if it's still there or not. Just checked my stats and it's 1 DNF for every 5 finds. Still no big deal, as some of the caches were MIA before I started searching. And most of the DNF's, I've gone back and found them later.
  14. I've recently been having problems while uploading my .loc files using Easy GPS. When I upload the waypoints to my Magellan Meridian, there's nothing in the comment field. So when I go to a waypoint, I have no idea what the name of it is. When I open up the waypoints in Easy GPS, I can see that the names are there, in the comment field, but they don't go through to my GPSr. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
  15. Your avatar's pretty cool. BTW, my grandparents live near Lancaster, PA and last September I was able to ride a Mennonite horse buggy near their retirement community. The Mennonite woman driving it told us the difference between a Mennonite buggy (black in color, rubber "tire" on wheels) and an Amish buggy (grey in color, no rubber "tire"-just the metal wheel). Just some Amish and Mennonite trivia.
  16. I thought it was just me. The same thing started happening to me this morning and I thought it might be my computer.
  17. I believe he did get permission. "I went through a whole hubba-ballo to get it all together and to get permission to place the cache."
  18. Just an update...we found our 100th today! We decided we should make it a cool multi-cache where we had to go to various parks in the South Bay area to figure out the coordinates. I wanted to get to the century mark before my first anniversary of joining so in April alone, I think we found about 70+. Will probably slow down a little now but we'll see.
  19. Congrats on your 100th find. I'm about to find my 100th in the next week or two. I joined in May of 2003 but only had a couple of finds a month until I stepped up the searching in the past couple of months. Congrats again!
  20. About three weeks ago I went on a two hour hike to find six caches using printed out caches pages. I found it quite cumbersome, trying to figure out which page went with which cache on my GPSr and so on. So I bought a Palm Zire off of ebay for $42 shipped. It is SO much easier now. I bought Cachemate, and since I'm a premium member I ran a pocket query of the closest 500 caches near my home. I uploaded them onto my PDA with Cachemate, after converting them with CMConvert, and now when I'm driving around town, I can check my GPSr to see if there's anything close. I can then check the cache info on my PDA, instead of lugging paper cache pages all over the place.
  21. I've used Paypal for over 4 years buying and selling on ebay and I've never had a problem during the probably 200+ transactions. I've used the bank account feature as well as credit card feature. Guess I'm just lucky. Knock on wood.
  22. See my above post...the ink doesn't dry. After baking and the shrinking is done, you have to spray it with a clear sealer. I used model car clear sealer and it worked fine. Just a couple of quick sprays and it seals the ink. Good luck! And Nurse Dave, you've got the first sig item I've ever placed. I've only made a few so far so I decided I'd leave them in very cool places at first. And the lookout to me, was a very cool place. Maybe I'll see you on a hunt one day.
  23. SBPhishy, I should've known it was from the band Phish. My favorite ice cream is Phish Food from Ben and Jerry's!
  24. SBPhishy, I "borrowed" your idea. Hope you don't mind! By the way, I love fish too but didn't want to copy your design. Do you have a lot of fish tanks at home?
