  1. I have the Pink Yime version 1 to trade for a Pink Yime version 2. Send me an email through my profile, thanks!
  2. You could always go the route of Yahoo Fantasy sports. I've played the Football version for years and just tried the Baseball version this past season. Super fun and you never get the same players as the others in the league.
  3. Next season, there needs to be a way we can make our own trades so that they are more 'secret' or we lose any edge we may have been hoping for. But you can click on each team and you'll see who's been traded in and who's been traded out so even if a trade wasn't announced here in the forums, you'd still be able to see the trades.
  4. If it's a FTF prize/reward for the FTF to keep, then you should leave it unactivated. And make sure to note that the FTF coin is a prize for the FTF in your description so the FTF doesn't wonder what to do with it.
  5. Why then does your profile only show 8 earthcaches owned? Well, if combined, "Me & Bucky" and myself own 110 EC's.
  6. I posted about a month ago on this problem and was told to post to the feedback forum, which I did. Nate, a Lackey, posted that it was under review but that was almost three weeks ago, and still no fix to the problem, at least at my end.
  7. That's a different situation. I think they meant to write a note about the coin instead of discovering it. The situation that we're discussing is that there are cachers randomly entering tracking #'s, hoping to discover as many coins as they can.
  8. Got a timeout so I didn't think it went through, then I couldn't get into the forums. Here's the gist of the original post. I got a virtual discovery on one of my geocoins and here's the message: Hello fellow cacher. My friend and myself are having a contest who can "Discover" 2000 different geo-coins first. Please help me in my quest by not deleting my virtual "discovery". I will understand if you delete this posting if you don't want virtual discoveries on your geo-coin's web page. I do like to read the pages and the stories behind the geo-coins! Happy caching! --- Looks like they're typing in random tracking #'s and discovering whatever coin is attached to that #. So I'm thinking some of you might get the same message. And of course I deleted the log. =)

    I'm done

If the OP is taking about the latest cache they hid, I think they're talking about an unactivated geocoin because the only traveling geocoins that were in the cache (2 of them), seem to be accounted for. One in the cache now and one in the hands of a later cache finder. Perhaps the FTF cacher thought it was a FTF prize. In this case, no trade it needed, it's a prize. But then again, there's no mention of there being a FTF prize.
  10. Attaching a tag is a relly good idea! Some coins do have holes in them, but one thing you might want to consider is drilling your own hole. The advantage of drilling a hole in a coin is that from a collector's standpoint the coin is ruined. Thus, a coin you send out will not be snatched up by someone looking for free coins to collect. Attaching a tag is a good idea but it still doesn't stop the geocoins from going missing, whether they're stolen or misplaced. I've released over 400 drilled and tagged geocoins and over 250 of them have gone missing. The advice I give to someone who's thinking about releasing coins is to realize that eventually the coin will go missing and if you're going to feel sad/mad/bad about it going missing, you probably shouldn't release it. I have some coins reappear after going missing for years also so if a coin does go missing, there's always hope it'll come back.
  11. Not sure if I'll be able to meet up now as I have my grandparents and brother+SIL coming in during the week. But I'll check this thread as the date gets closer.
  12. Yep, they'll have to grab the coin from you and log it into their inventory. You won't get to keep the icon under your Trackables Owned and to have it under Moved/Discovered, you'll have to rediscover it.
  13. If you're into finding old geocaches, stop for Mingo GC30, the oldest active geocache. It's right off the freeway and an easy find. Another oldie, outside of Chicago, Beverly GC28. For some reason, when we were on our road trip, we didn't go and find it. Maybe I didn't have it on our PQ but sure wish we had gotten it. If you're doing the Cache Across America series, you can also stop in Manhattan, Kansas for Cache Across America - Kansas. Have fun! And yes, if you can take a few backroads through small town USA, I think you'd enjoy that as well.
  14. There isn't a one shot site to get all of that info. You could start with geocoincollection.com, then use the search function in this forum to get more detailed info for certain coins. It'll take some time and effort to research each coin but that seems like the only way of doing it.
  15. what's the coin on the bottom, left? Dry Creek Geocachers 2006 I remember having one which I sent out traveling so I had to look through my trackables profile and see if any icon stood out to me. And I found it, even though the icon doesn't look like the coin!
  16. When I ship out of the US, I use USPS form 2976 (white and green form). Like Landsharkz said, write token as the item description. You can pick up lots of these blank forms at your local post office so you can fill them out at home.
  17. Each state differs when it comes to sales/general excise taxes. Visit your state's tax department website to see what their requirements are for filing.
  18. I'll guess 29 as well. Congrats on quitting!
  19. Here you go: http://feedback.geocaching.com/forums/7577...lost-?ref=title I'm still having the same problem and there hasn't been any response from Groundspeak. So I'm not sure how great the feedback page really is. It seems only the issues with lots of votes gets any response.

    just starting

Here's a good place to start: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=116800 As for your questions, we're not allowed to discuss Pathtags as they have their own website...but, I would think most collectors keep them separated. In the link I posted above, there is a list of vendors. Check out their websites, see what kind of designs they offer, and if you have a design in mind, you can contact them to get a quote. As for cheap extras, keep a watch on this forum. There are buying opportunities all the time, like a pack of 5 geocoins for $5-6 each.
  21. I think the background would look cool with translucent enamel. It should make the macaw "pop" with its bright colors.
