  1. quote: According to a definitive 18 year long study, children exposed to nudity had delayed onset of adolescent sex and less adolescent sex. Boys were less likely to steal or use drugs. nudecacher I will go by my own study of raising three great kids for 18 years. NOT exposing them to nudity, except their own, has caused my kids to not steal, use drugs or have early sex. Do your nudie deal but not near kids, please! And please stop promoting kids and nudity...you are stating to sound like pedofile.
  2. Since my kids are "big" now, and they don't play the jump start or freddie fish etc games, I have started to carry them around in the backpack to put in Caches. These were pretty expensive games, and little cachers would enjoy them. Since they were bought sealed I don't see how they could have a virus on them.I always put them in Ziplocs too. I also put some cd's like a Nascar race game, a Jumpstart Spy kids kind of game, a baseball CD, all of which I have gotten as a "gift" from everything from hair places to cereal. Never used and like new, just not into Nascar.
  3. This is the first possible Hurricane to enter Gulf of Mexico since I have a GPS. I live near Houston. Has anyone else every used GPS to monitor weather situations? They only give 3 out co-ordinates. I am going over to Nat' Hurricane center to see if they have better coords.
  4. Woodster...I will answer you... After the naked woman had her picture snapped, the story made the local paper. ( I work in a really small old Texas Town...for you geos type in zip 77301!) We all had a good laugh. A few days later a guy in the office building brought over a print out of the web site. I was SURE it was a photoshop job. I went to the website off work , at home, and sure enough... Some of the pics were actually very artsy and beautiful. Not like porno or fake chick websites. But real life women ( not many men) in outdoors settings. Whatever floats your boat...I prefer privacy! And no nudie cachers...
  5. "Nude recreation is family oriented " Gag me... That is just revolting. I saw the nudie kids camp article..gross. Just what I want my kids to see....NOT. Just shipped my kids off to religous camp, not nudie camp. I had a joker post a phalic sand sculpture pic and offensive user names on my cache page. Sorry...I don't go by the constitution on my cache page. I deleted it. Jeremy at Geocache was super helpful to me on this one also. I like the family friendly nature of the geocachers I have spoke to. I like the family friendly nature of spending time with my hubby and kids in the woods and not in front of a TV. I am only interested in my husband's body and NO ONE elses. Keep your nudie agenda to yourself. I keep my religous agenda to myself also. A while back a beautiful woman jumped out of her car across the street from my office.Butt naked. She stood in front of a gun store. A guy jumped out and took some pictures of her. They jumped back in the car and left. There is some nudie web site that is into paying people for the most unusual place/picture and they post them on their web site. But back to the original Q...I look at every post on my cache like suggested and edit if need be.
  6. I just bought a yellow and black Etrex. I notice that it has a time delay deal. I was on top of a cache om Sunday and it said I was 20 feet away. I waited a minute and it started showing decreasing feet super fast. Then it send me in a different ( wrong ) direction. I have not been pleased with it. The only thing I like is that the buttons are easy to push/enter and the read out is large and clear...( gosh I sound old!)
  7. I am somewhat new to Geocaching...I lurked for about a year before joining. May I ask you experienced cachers a question I posed on another thread, but it sort of got lost in the chat... What do you say to a policeman or authority if you get caught? We usually have just been searching in the parks so I think we are OK. And um...what do you say if you and your hubby, soulmate, lifemate, roomate, life partner...whatever...get caught being amorous in the forest? Last time that happened to me , was 25 years ago!....But...it is always a possibility...hahahahah...my kids are off to camp for a month and the hunny and I will be out caching alone...you never know...
  8. This thread is now really too funny...I gotta keep reading it even though we digressed to HOA bashing. To the friend who had the boat in front of the house: One night my hubby and I came home to find a giant party going on, on our block which was a dead end. A teen party/ Well someone took mom and dad's Lexus and decided it was OK to park IN our yard.Um, well it's not OK with us. So hubby and I took some bottles of the little squeeze bottles of honey. We honey'd up all the door handles.I think we also smashed some eggs on the windows ( not the paint as to be destructive) so it would dry just on the glass. My hubs and I hid in our bedroom which had a giant window facing the car. After someone called the cops on all these hooligans, the guys came backto mom and dad's car. My husband and I were choking while we were laughing so hard. Watching those kids wipe their hands off...and then finaly getting in and having something on the window ( we only put egg on the middle ...we always thought about safety). They must have sprayed the window washer 100 times! They had NO clue who did it as all of our lights were off etc. But I will never forget how we got back at those punks! Woodsters: The Woodlands HOA sent my pal a letter because of her kids play fort. You CAN'T see it from the street...BUT she left her gate open one day and the neighborhood spy saw it and reported them! One day an old man was cruising our street. I HAD it with the HOA. I went and stood in the street to stop him. I screamed " WHY ARE YOU SPYING ON ME"? "WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM"? Well he said...he worked for the local paper and was just checking to see if the papers were delivered and or who did and did not get them. oops...
  9. I saw a great headline for an article about mosquitos. Said to avoid them this way: don't breathe or eat. They are atracted to lactic acid in the skin ( from eating) and like mentioned before, exhaled breath. About the mosquito doleto...took two of them back to home depot. I sat RIGHT NEXT to one...brought them in my garden with me...nope they don't work. Some of these units do NOT attract the Tiger mosquito, which is what eats us alive near Houston. Tried the garlic yard spray too...nope did not work
  10. SigJ..I feel like I was on Trigger Happy! I was duped! You got me! Since I survived 8 years of the Woodlands rules I was SURE it was real! One of their other rules was to pick up your uniform looking trash can by 8PM. We sometimes were bad and did not pick it up till 10 pm. We got a letter from their lawyers...over a trash can.. We also got a letter from them threatening legal action if we did not "seed and water" our lawn. I wrote them back and told them it was my religion to believe that God does that for me. Letters stopped! Good photoshop job..wish I could photoshop the age off my face that is approaching.
  11. I am ready to try anything. I have tried the garlic sups, the Vitamin B sups, the natural lotion stuff I shipped from England that all the celebs said was "hot", even Deep Woods Off. I sat one night with the can off DW off in my hand spraying it on me every 5 minutes. Still got swarmed. My neighbor who I was talking to had swarms on her, but either never gets bit, or is immune to the itch! My only remedy: sweat pants or scrub pants and long sleeve shirt and my mosquito net hat. I live near Houston..since we started geocaching, my kids have skeeter bites all over legs now. Like I said, I will try anything at this point!
  12. Thanks for the great replies. Did you notice at the very bottom that if you want...why you could call and get even MORE rules and things you CAN'T do? I have to drive through the Woodlands to get to my office. I drive fast so I can get out of there quick. We tried to look for some caches there but kept running into Golf car snobs. The fact that my GPS would not give me clear signal makes me wonder if they are not scrambling it to keep us geocachers out! Ok..truce..I have some really nice friends that live there, The Woodlands...it is just their "government" I hate!
  13. Thanks for the quick response. I really appreciate it. This has become a favorite family think to do and the fact that someone was revolting on my cache and others made me mad! Thanks Jeremy, again for all.
  14. In my zip 77379, some jokers with an offensive user name too, are posting stupid and offensive logs and now they are posting Rated R-X pictures on family type caches. I notified some of the nearby cache owners to beware and I deleted the jokers off my cache page. How do you notify geocaching of users like this?
  15. I just told my hubby this last night... Ok I was just trying to justify my addiction! But I am trying to add to the GPS when we jump out. Meaning if we are .30 miles away we will jump out instead of .25 miles away like last week...I am trying to up the jump out point!
  16. See the link: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cachelog_details.asp?ID=147133&L=825470 I lived in the Woodlands and moved out , rather escaped because of the Stepford Wives mentality and boredom. The link above from a cache log page shows WHY I moved from there. Is Geocaching "illegal" in public places? What would they do if they "caught" me?
  17. I am looking to buy for my PDA under $50.00. Thanks!
  18. Thanks so much. I was able to do that easy! But it made my nice pics look just ok! But I was able to post them. Thanks a bunch!
  19. Is there a way to lower the size/quality of my picture? Thanks!
  20. I am trying to upload pictures, but keep getting error, This page not found. What am I doing wrong? Thanks Becki
