  1. Thanks. Now if only people would go look for them more often... heh. >_> If no one can go, I'll replace it in 6 weeks or so. I don't think a soggy log is enough to knock it offline.
  2. Health problems have kept me from going out and hiking for a while. A recent surgery will keep me off the trails for at least another 6 weeks. One of my cache containers is apparently leaking, and I was wondering if someone could hike out and replace it if they had the time. The cache: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GC16RA5 If you're up to the task, please bring a container that's able to hang up high where the original cache hopefully is still swinging. Thanks in advance.
  3. Thought I might give the Devil's Hole by Blue Hook another shot on Saturday.
  4. Thanks for the info. I'm surprised that there isn't more of them. Do moderators disable a cache after a certain number of DNFs?
  5. Heh, maybe the date should automatically be set when the cache page is created so we can avoid things like this: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...85-f6a144ef4e2c >_> Talk about your ancient caches. *edit: The date says 1901 in case the person changes it, and I sound like a raving lunatic*
  6. What's the oldest, still active cache in New Jersey that's yet to be found? Scanning back a bit through the new cache list, I found this one that still hasn't even been searched for yet and it was posted nearly three months ago: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...57-fb7996a5cc73 Guess that's one really hard puzzle he has there. Anyone else know of older caches with no finds?
  7. Hiding's only fun when people look for them. *looks at his yet to be found cache* v_v
  8. How about letting finders rate the quality of the caches after they find it and having that stat usable as a filter while doing searches or pocket queries? Just keep the stat invisible until 5 people have submitted their rating to keep everything anonymous. A quick way to filter out low quality caches would be nice.
  9. I've yet to do one that listed the altitude. I've noticed my altitude reading is much too inaccurate to rely on. I doubt it'd be able to differentiate between on top of the bridge or beneath the bridge unless it was a very tall bridge.
  10. I've only found a few so far, but my top ten out of those would be: 1: Edison's Dark Rock Cache 2: Evil Little Man, Deep in the Woods 3: Terrace Pond North 4: Fluffy Pink Bunnies 5: Cauldrons of Courage 6: Three Block Falls 7: Terrace Pond South 8: Edison's Grand View 9: 1481 A Passaic County High Point 10: Shave and a Haircut (first one I did. good only for sentimental reasons)
  11. Yeah, the icons were really hard to see, and it didn't include the cache information up above. Keep the classic map up.
  12. Is there a way to access the old map that I usually got when I clicked the map image near the bottom?
  13. Then I wish I had the more often. >_> Lost tracking on 'em soon as I left for the trails.
  14. Usually the satellites all have numbers on my tracking screen. Now I have two labeled W, and I'm tracking one of them. What's up with that? I have Explorist 200 if that makes a difference.
  15. Thanks for the info. I tried searching Google, but couldn't find much. Most of it was links to rock gyms. I think you'd really need a partner to enjoy those places, but I don't know anyone else interested in climbing.
  16. Could any Jersey natives tell me where there's some great bouldering spots up in North Jersey?
  17. When entering coordinates, it won't let me enter in tenths of a second. Is there any way increase the number of decimal places I can enter?
