  1. Ryan, we looked for that cache last summer and couldn't find the final location. Don't you remember my DNF: "so now I still have no idea where the cache is, but I have the cleanest pantry in town." ? Well, I've decided to keep my pantry clean instead of trying for that cache again. Take your time Laura. Ryan's not going to complete the Ripon Multi and TB Hotel too quickly either. Humm... I'll bet she's waiting for you to catch up to her. No TeamTek find log here. What's this about me not finding it?
  2. Am I missing something? NeVer Mind I know what it means, but I just got maybe he hasn't figured out how to delete posts just like me!
  3. Me and my dad are planning a weekend where we replace all of our caches here in Stockton.
  4. Whn me and JeepySr first planned it we were thinking around 7 or 8, but that was pre-event. Would someone with experience tell me how long it takes to do this cache?
  5. Maybe I'm out of line, but maybe we can convince GC to make a section for state coins so people can try to collect them all......just an idea, dont even know if it's practical.
  6. I was doing some research before I went to bed to today and I just learned that OF hasn't found my Magnetic Tour of Stockton.... So lets start this year off right and find that cache
  7. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!! Well I live in Stockton, but I have found many caches in Fresno
  8. Oooh! This looks mighty tempting! Jan. 22, 04 looks like a full Moon too! Might have to mark the Calender for this day. Thanks for the info Bill Let's see how much interest this generates,..... OK, so Geodanimal calls and wants to go on a night hunt, so we head out for Wait Until Dark. Didn't have to dodge too many raindrops. Trail was very slippery in spots (like oops! splat!). I saw many markers that I followed, until they blinked or moved! It was great fun. Recommended! (In fact, if ya'll go, I'd tag along just to do the hike again ) I'm just waiting for JeepySr's reply on January 21st cause we can't make it on the 22nd.
  9. Oops, sometimes when I vent I don't make sense
  10. Ours was far from safe and peaceful. Now we just learned that the flat tire somehow broke our back air conditioner. Now not only does the front one barely work, but now the back doesn't work. The people at the shop said the whole thing was trashed so bad by it he was surprised the vehicle made it all the way from the out skirts of Madera to Stockton.
  11. Uh oh. I just heard the earth shake. Must be a puzzle cache thats comming?
  12. Actually we needed some new tires, the treads were starting to wear down. As a matter of fact we were talking about it while we were geocaching the day of. He said he didn't need tires right away cause they cost so much. Funny how all this stuff happens to us. And Peter you can call any time today. I was actually waiting for you to call because my dad told me you were getting the same palm as us, so I can try to recall how I did it.
  13. This is all comming together now!!!!! Funny how we get the CVC Tag on Christmas, people go out and look for it and don't find it, the next day comming back at 7:30 PM we get a flat tire comming home from Fresno on the same turn off we took for the Tag, and then when we tally up all of our finds we come up with 666 Finds!!!!! Things aren't looking up for the Tek family, expecically with deranged Green Waste Men throwing rocks through our windows, now I've got some even worse comming after me.....GEOCACHERS!!!!!! BTW I think that you should all boycott the Green Waste System like this guy did in Fresno.
  14. I hope everyone had a great holiday as did we, except for the comming home part when we got a flat tire at night, but hey it happens. If you all don't know already I have gotten the CVC Tag back and it's coming back to Stockton. (No applause needed ). And we had a very succesful geocaching blitz in Fresno where we got 25+ caches (DOn't have the final count yet). Hope to see some new blood that Santa brought in!
  15. I can tell u photoshopped it because the word cache doesn't have any drip marks like the rest of the words on the sign.
  16. I checked my calender and we can't make it on the 22nd but we can make it on the 21st which is a friday...... Oh and BTW I think 2004 is about to end
  17. ARRRGGGG. Well I think there is another night cache somewhere south of that same area. Not sure where it is though.
  18. Grabbed a couple of good caches from Modesto today, thanks Modesto cachers. On another note, when does any1 want to go to that night cache.
  19. Did you see this!?! Bush Prepares for Possible GPS Shutdown Dec 16, 8:38 PM (ET) By TED BRIDIS WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush has ordered plans for temporarily disabling the U.S. network of global positioning satellites during a national crisis to prevent terrorists from using the navigational technology, the White House said Wednesday. Any shutdown of the network inside the United States would come under only the most remarkable circumstances, said a Bush administration official who spoke to a small group of reporters at the White House on condition of anonymity. The GPS system is vital to commercial aviation and marine shipping. The president also instructed the Defense Department to develop plans to disable, in certain areas, an enemy's access to the U.S. navigational satellites and to similar systems operated by others. The European Union is developing a $4.8 billion program, called Galileo. The military increasingly uses GPS technology to move troops across large areas and direct bombs and missiles. Any government-ordered shutdown or jamming of the GPS satellites would be done in ways to limit disruptions to navigation and related systems outside the affected area, the White House said. "This is not something you would do lightly," said James A. Lewis, director of technology policy for the Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies. "It's clearly a big deal. You have to give them credit for being so open about what they're going to do." President Clinton abandoned the practice in May 2000 of deliberately degrading the accuracy of civilian navigation signals, a technique known as "selective availability." The White House said it will not reinstate that practice, but said the president could decide to disable parts of the network for national security purposes. The directives to the Defense Department and the Homeland Security Department were part of a space policy that Bush signed this month. It designates the GPS network as a critical infrastructure for the U.S. government. Part of the new policy is classified; other parts were disclosed Wednesday. The White House said the policies were aimed at improving the stability and performance of the U.S. navigation system, which Bush pledged will continue to be made available for free. The U.S. network is comprised of more than two dozen satellites that act as beacons, sending location-specific radio signals that are recognized by devices popular with motorists, hikers, pilots and sailors. Bush also said the government will make the network signals more resistant to deliberate or inadvertent jamming.
  20. Great job Outrageous Fortunes on your 200th Find!
  21. The only problem is, is that my dad insisted and he paid already. SO we pretty much got screwed.
