  1. If you like Utah you will have to check out my brothers web site at www.willieholdman.com - He is a professionally photographer. quote:Originally posted by happy_buddhas:Wow! That is so cool. Your pics on the Photo Megapost thread are incredible too
  2. Check it out http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=91285
  3. Here are a few I took on my last trip to Southern Utah.
  4. Caches in Wilderness Area in Utah are banned. What is fustrating for me though is the mountains that are only 2 miles from my house are wilderness area. I spent 5 hours hiking up one mountain to place a cache (at the time I did not know about the wilderness rule) and it did not get approved. In the next few years I plan on getting cache box sometime.

  6. I wear the shorts/pants/zipper combo put mostly have the legs off. I have also had Poison Ivy 3 times this year so far. http://img.Groundspeak.com/user/120878_1400.gif
  7. I perfer the clean version I like the one below because it ties it the color of the CopyRight Groundspeak geocaching logo http://img.Groundspeak.com/user/120878_1400.gif
  8. I perfer to use these. http://img.Groundspeak.com/user/120878_1400.gif
  9. A lot of the stuff I wanted to say has already been written but I just wanted to go on the record. Metal is best. There will be confusion with new plastic tags. They need to be kept the same. Metal looks better and go hold up better. I disagree on only selling "Tracking Numbers" - It would get more confusing because nothing would look the same and you may not be sure if it is a travel bug or not. http://img.Groundspeak.com/user/120878_1400.gif
  10. Look up Army Surplus Store in your phonebook if you want to find them locally. Usually all these type of stores have them but the prices vary. The stores closest to me are quite inexpensive but one store about 25 miles away sells them really cheap so you will want to shop around.
  11. Has anybody ever created a cache that plays music when you open it? I was thinking of getting one of those musical greeting cards and somehow hooking it up to an ammo can so it plays music.
  12. I pulled a good one a few years ago on a person that used a stolen credit card. I use to run an electronics store online and would get orders all the time from people trying to use stolen credit cards. This guy lived in Canada and used a stolen credit card. In Canada they have to pay Duties and Brokerage fees (If you send it UPS Ground) on items coming into the country. After finding out the credit card was stolen I decided to send him a box that had worthless items in it (A microsoft 98 outlook book, a stale bag of pretzels, and a very very old motherboard) and put the value as $650 on the box. I shipped it off (it cost me about $10 in shipping but was worth it) and was able to track the box. The guy ending up paying about $130 in Duties, Customs, and brokerage fees. I wish I could have seen the look on his face when he opened up the box. I never heard back from him. quote:In some instances the scammers themselves were scammed by the people they were trying to scam. One ingenious person had a scammer send him some gold nuggets, so his "metallurgist could test them for purity", before he closed a "deal" on a Ghana gold mine.
  13. I put in Magic Tricks - Here is a pic of one of them.
  14. There is a cache located about 1 mile east from where I am. I Plan on heading west though around the entire world until I reach it.
  15. This is my favorite part of the cache description. "You may log visits to the cache, but please don't log it as a "find" unless you email me the number on the tag. (Please do not post the number on the website)." If I do find it, I have no problem with posting the number on the website.
  16. You are way out of line to ask me where I am from.
  17. I am not sure if caches like this should be approved. He was never at the finally resting place of the cache. If he actually dived down and placed the tag there, then it would be fine. Maybe on my next cruise I should tie a cache to a huge boulder and throw it over the side and mark the location.
  18. I prefer a high terrain level and then a easy find. After hiking up a mountain for a few hours that last thing I want to do is look for an hour or two for a cache.
  19. This has been done http://bytethebullet.com/geologo/ The problem is that new comers and those that don't read the message board know about it. I feel the logo should be slightly changed though to look more like the Groundspeak Geocaching Logo without infringing on copyright laws. This way it gives the feel of the Groundspeak logo for those that may only be familiar with the Groundspeak logo. Below is what I am thinking about. quote:Originally posted by LongDogs:It sounds to me like we need to come up with a new, unencumbered, geocaching logo for this type of use.
