Just renewed membership. When I try to open a cache page, it switches to another page that just has info on it ..can't click anything such as write a log, etc.How can I stay on the cache page?

Thanks for the replies! It worked. (note: on the etrex 30 the interface options were "mass storage" and "Garmin". When I had it on Garmin and plugged it in to the mac, the device did not show up in finder. On mass storage it did.) I have to figure out the filters for PQ...I didn't get many caches near home. Is there another way to get caches on my device? Thanks again for your help.

I looked for this topic, but couldn't find it. I had an old etrex venture CX that my Mac wouldn't "see" anymore. Just got an etrex 30 and a city navigator sd card. Used to just go to a cache page and send to my gps. Seems I can't do that anymore. I made a pocket query, but can't figure out how to get it on the gps. I have a Matchbook Air with current iOS and Safari. Any help is appreciated

I've had my etrex Venture cx (got it in 2007) connected to this laptop before and it worked perfectly. Plugged it in last week. When I tried to send a cache to my gps, got the "install Garmin communicator plug in" window. Downloaded it and it installed ....but not really. Only saw the installer in Finder. Googled it and found some good info: made sure plug ins are "allowed", etc. Still couldn't see it when plugged in. Installed Garmin Express and Web Updater. Web updater could see it.Realized that my iOS and Safari were out of date and updated both. Still can't see the device. Tried a different cord, nothing. Used original cord and a different device (etrex 30) and saw that device. I hope there is a solution....

Downloaded Firefox. No problems anymore. IE7, XP Home W/SP2 and Norton.

Lots of changes in the site in the last month or so. Pages loading slow, maps scrolling like they are posessed, flags instead of treasure chests. I can't spare the time it's taking to use the site. I look in at least every other day, but I can't sit in front of the pc arm wrestling the maps. I have 5 caches I have recently found but can't log. I'm not hunting anymore till the site issues get resolved. I hope the bugs get fixed quick. My $30 isn't doing me much good right now. Again, I hope the bugs get fixed quick.

I bought a Garmin eTrex Legend CX. Nothing special, but I have had no problems at all. It was under $200 on Amazon.
