How can I find locationless cache listings. All my searches end up with no results.

[GPS off or is it me?]

I just found my 1st one and the GPS showed it being 88' away. I was in dense woods, was this typical? I've also had problems when trying to find others. Is the GPS ok? Maybe I haven't developed the hider's eye yet?
