  1. I've just coordinated some bits and pieces and caches and stuff on my work's caching account. I was looking up some of my own caches which we are using to get some local families into caching and realised my premium membership must have run out because I couldn't see a few of mine which I'd made premium by mistake and was looking for to change to non premium. So I upgraded, thinking I must only have chosen the three month option last time. Then when the screen went to the completion page, I realised mine was fine but I had just spent £24.99 on the works account - which doesn't need premium. This is my own money and my company (I'm a volunteer) is a bit like a charity - I've benefitted from what Go4It! does and I won't ask them to reimburse me for what is my error, not theirs. Can I get a refund and have the premium status removed from the account? Help, please. I would never have spent it if I didn't think it was my account, I've had a right senior moment
  2. Magic, thanks. It worked and the count went back down. I need to put away my cache hiding stash and start upping my count again. I rely on my car a lot to get nearer to caches I think I'll manage and unfortunately I burst another tyre at the weekend. Poop.
  3. Thank you. I was sure that was what I chose when I originally logged but it counted it anyway. I'll go check now. Thank you xxx
  4. Halp. I visited one of my caches recently and had to leave a trackable log because I put a geocoin in. It registered the cache as one I'd found. It doesn't count surely, it feels wrong and I don't know to undo it. It also doesn't help that the person who logged the cache said they'd taken the coin and left another trackable but they haven't done the proper logs for trackables and I'm crap at confrontation ?
  5. Prynhawn da, I think I've managed to add a cache to the SideTracked series with the support of someone in the 'How Do I...' Forum but can someone point me in the right direction to who or what I need to consult to add to the Church Micros series? Thaaaaaaanks! X
  6. I was checking out coordinates for potential caches. I found some excellent sites but if I had one at or by the station, how do I add it to the 'sidetracked' series that is everywhere? It would be a shame to place one in such position without continuing this 'tradition' so to speak. Ditto if there's a church without a micro already. *Edit* Yes, I typoed the 'collection' in the title, sorry*
  7. ...........when you drive all the way to Porthcawl and you tell the kids its to go to the beach but actually its to find a sea side cache to drop a trackable you picked up into, because it wants to see the sea side according to its mission statement..... ?
  8. ........when its getting wuite dark but you must keep on searching, just one more cache!
  9. .....when I drove round caches in Cheltenham (UK) today to try find one big enough to drop trackables in! Managed it eventually.
  10. This is what makes me nervous about releasing our bugs in the next few days. But if we don't try.....
  11. That sounds like an interesting trackable. Shame if it was left behind by mistake.
  12. Stupid question, but I'm new and just read the thread about Letterboxing and how Geocachers and Letterboxers often accidentally sabotage each other - you say it's a stamp..... Could you have in fact found a letterbox rather than a geocache and the stamp belongs to the letterboxer?
  13. Thanks. It arrived and it's plugged in. I'm currently querying my queries Used to know a forumer from somewhere else who went by 'slartybartfast' - pops into my head every time I see your name here!
  14. Cannot find this info anywhere online! Does the Garmin eTrex 10 need a micro SD for maps? The only descriptions I can find say it comes with maps on but reviews suggest otherwise and what do I need to do - do I need to load some maps (ie particular kinds) onto my laptop to put on it later? Description says it doesn't do OS maps. New to this, new to coordinates, new to using anything similar.
  15. I could really do with speaking to you on the phone asap - it's yet to arrive and I'm slow at piecing together instructions (please don't confuse this with meaning sub-intelligent, its the opposite, but I have issues processing!) I'm taking the laptop with us. And I have now got a 'tortoise' got my iPhone because I love the geocaching app - I just have a very, very bad battery life to contend with. So whatever happens, we'll manage - but I would prefer to have the means to set up the Garmin. Am I right to interpret what you say as meaning I can download these necessities to the laptop READY for when it arrives? Also, I have started saving people's caches to folders in my app, if I look up the ones for the part of West Wales we are going to, and save them, they're then saved to offline apparently so does that mean I can access them to load onto the eTrex if I don't have internet - or if I use my iPhone as a router, will I also be able to load them to my eTrex? I'm going to see if you have an email address, hang on.....
  16. Garmin due in the morning. Just missed the cut off last night to have it delivered today. Can't change anything or get directions to somewhere using the thingummy. Can only use it ti locate wherever I am when I press for coordinates. Useful for that and that alone, sadly.
  17. Slightly OT but during the February half term here in Wales, a trip to softplay with the kids landed me in a hot situation having only just made it to the loos there in time and there was no paper. There often isn't there, I should have learnt. I lost a sock, that day. New to caching. Am making sure I always have a pen on me now, and pencil if possible. Tomorrow when the kids finish school we are driving to West Wales on holiday and our Garmin is due before 1pm so..... There shall be the Garmin, I have a 'tortoise' battery pack for my crappy iPhone, pen/pencil, I need a magnet, wet wipes, plastic sealy top bags (used one recently to reseal someones cache that had a bag disintegrating round it).....
  18. Found these - this seems to be the smallest, they work upwards from this 1.5kg one to 2kg, 2.5kg..... I'm unsure whether it means it weighs that much (unlikely given its dimensions???) or if (more likely?) it holds that much.... Somehow. Either way, what do you think. Bring in the jury!
  19. Magic. Cheers peeps. Now, if I superglued my Lego magnets to these super magnets..... They'd never be found in my yard again Looking at Garmins. Wishing we had one for our trip next week.
  20. What a super idea! Which size/style/shape of magnet is worth using? I'd like to order quite a few in mid april and might as well do it at the same time. Certain small miniature humans keep disappearing with my magnets. Had to remove fridge magnets from my youngest's school jumper pocket this morning
  21. Ha ha ha, really! I'll widen my thinking. Well, its pretty wide already but learning what people do helps. It did occur to me that people might use metal detectors - do they? And aye, dw i'n byw yn Abercwmboi yng Nghwm Cynon, De Cymru - roeddwn i wedi dysgu Cymraeg yng Nghaerdydd.
