  1. I added to your script to make some additional changes. Still some more to do, but shortening up some stuff makes the longer cache names fit better. Several of these lines would need to be changed as I have hard coded my user name and the local state names I want shortened. // ==UserScript== // @name My Profile Fix // @namespace chrysalides // @description Change various items on MyProfile page // @include http://www.geocaching.com/my/ // ==/UserScript== document.body.innerHTML= document.body.innerHTML.replace(/Visit Log/g,"Visit Log"); document.body.innerHTML= document.body.innerHTML.replace(/Right Wing Wacko</g,"You<"); document.body.innerHTML= document.body.innerHTML.replace(/Traditional Cache/g,"Traditional"); document.body.innerHTML= document.body.innerHTML.replace(/Event Cache/g,"Event"); document.body.innerHTML= document.body.innerHTML.replace(/Letterbox Hybrid/g,"Letterbox"); document.body.innerHTML= document.body.innerHTML.replace(/Travel Bug Dog Tag/g,"Travel Bug"); document.body.innerHTML= document.body.innerHTML.replace(/Arizona/g,"AZ"); document.body.innerHTML= document.body.innerHTML.replace(/Washington/g,"WA"); document.body.innerHTML= document.body.innerHTML.replace(/Oregon/g,"OR"); document.body.innerHTML= document.body.innerHTML.replace(/Idaho/g,"ID"); document.body.innerHTML= document.body.innerHTML.replace(/British Columbia/g,"BC");
  2. Yeah, it failed. I'm setting up something else, but it'll take 24 hours, if it works. How should I send you the file (a tiny 93 KB, zipped)? Try this instead: Chehalis.zip or Chehalis.zip What version of Streets and Trips are these for? I'm getting and error while trying to load them and suspect I may be using an old version.
  3. Only if you like big explosions
  4. Yes... I know all about those trees that reach out and grab you!
  5. Intentionaly interferring with or harassing hunters is illegal in most states and will get one a fairly large fine and can even include jail time. In my state: Washington 77.16.340. Obstructing the taking of fish or wildlife--Penalty--Defenses (1) A person commits the crime of obstructing the taking of fish or wildlife if the person: (a) Harasses, drives, or disturbs fish or wildlife with the intent of disrupting lawful pursuit or taking thereof; or ( Harasses, interferes with, or intimidates an individual engaged in the lawful taking of fish or wildlife or lawful predator control. (2) Violation of this section is a gross misdemeanor under RCW 77.21.010. Gross Misdemeanors are punishable by a $10,000 fine and up to 1 year in the slammer.
  6. I beleive this is the cache involved. It appears that Criminal and IronMan went out on a rescue mission for the guy's backback. (Link)
  7. Modern treasure hunt ends with nighttime rescue See article for more
  8. Thats a good list! Some areas that might also support a CM: Colville/Kettle Falls San Juans Both locations could be tricky for accomodations.
  9. REI now carries many of the items from the Groundspeak Store.
  10. You could rent a table at one or both of the local WAC Gun Show. I've been to the one in Monroe several times, and while there are sometimes vendors there that have ammo cans, they seem to run out early.
  11. Under normal circumstances I would say you could do both of these in one day. However the Tunnel is closed so the hike to the Ape Cache is now a real hike. You're probably looking at two hikes on separate days.
  12. Around these parts, the Mosquito's are so big we pack a .45 Semi-Auto to ward them off!
  13. It appears that some people did not get the word that we reserved not only the group camp, but ALL the campspots near the group camp. ALL of those are still available as we have not yet started taking reservation on them. There will be plenty of camping spots, and I don't beleive anyone will need to reserve their own spot with the park.
  14. Is there a bookmark list somewhere that can be used to pull down the caches on the cache machine? I realize Groundspeak frowns on GPX files being posted, so a Bookmark list would help those of us that can pull down our own PQ's
  15. At the current prices and scarcity of ammo, it's actually quite a find However, it is against the rules, so it shouldn't be there. Now pardon me while I get back to my press to reload some more .45ACP
  16. One of the reasons the state quit collecting the $5.00 fee was that it was costing them more money to collect it than it brought in. It also caused usage of the parks to plummet.
  17. I stayed at the Motel-6 in Clarkston two years ago while doing the Delorme Challenge. As expected for a Motel-6 the rooms are small, but they were remarkably clean. They also have a real nice Pool. I almost stayed there this time and probably would have had Inn-America been full.
  18. Yea! Reservations Made! Now here's hoping my two day vacation request is approved
  19. Keala, Yes, logon as a new user. We totally re-made our site late last year and only paid members were moved across.
  20. There was the one time I was stopped while searching for the cache next to the No-Trespassing sign while openly carrying my XD-45... but other than that!
  21. How did you get a copy of the xray that you could post? When I broke my arm I tried to get a copy and they couldn't let me have one.
  22. I really hope I can make it this time. Finally Halloween falls on a day I don't have to work. Now if I can just get a pass from the family.
  23. Ok... lets compare the rules: Geocaches National Parks - Banned Schools - Banned (by Groundspeak) Military Property - Banned Parks - Permit often required to hide one Firearms National Parks - Banned Schools - Banned (By Government) Military Property - Banned Parks - Permit almost always required to Conceal one
  24. Well... it's gone now! Two years after installing it at 28 of Washington's 42 rest areas, the state Department of Transportation is pulling the plug on Wi-Fi. The problem? "We didn't have a lot of subscribers," said Transportation Department spokeswoman Melanie Coon. That might have something to do with pricing. The rest area Wi-Fi cost $6.95 per day, $29.95 per month and a whopping $2.95 for just 15 minutes of use. Coon couldn't say how many people paid to access the Web from rest areas. Those data are handled by the companies that set up the system - Parsons Transportation Group and Road Connect Inc. But she did know how many people used that Wi-Fi to access the Transportation Department's main page - which was free. From January to July 2008, seven people visited www.wsdot.wa.gov. This month, four did. Twenty million people a year visit Washington rest areas. With no subsidies from the state and providers looking for revenue, you can see why this didn't work out. The service was designed to complement Transportation Department's information system, which includes radio and 511 cell phone traffic alerts - and to encourage drivers to pull off the road and take a break once in awhile. The Transportation Department will keep some of the system hardware after the service shuts down. Officials are hoping to use it to broadcast road conditions and travel alerts, Coon said. Here's more info from WSDOT on the program and the shutdown. The last day of rest area Wi-Fi service - if anyone cares - is Sunday.
  25. Kudo's to Annie at Groundspeak customer service. Somehow I ending up paying for my Groundspeak membership three times, an within two hours of emailing Groundspeak, Annie not only gives me a refund, but discovers that I payed twice last year too without noticing and extends my membership another year. (Turns out I had set up multiple auto-renewing accounts... whoops my bad!) I only post this because we routinely see people post when things go wrong... we need to let them know when things go right also! Good Job Annie
