  1. Is the first field of each line the GC code, or the cache name? Do you load your caches onto your unit through GSAK or EasyGPS? I use easy gps and it loads the cache name
  2. I have opened the file in notepad, all of the finds are in there. Almost 160 finds listed, but when I select it through the geocache site, and upload the file, it tells me 0 files were found. ????
  3. On your field notes page there is a date box.....in will not upload any that were found before that date even if they are on your unit..........just change the date in the box. Don't forget to delete the geo-visits file from time to time after they have been uploaded and logged ( the caches keep being saved).....it will re-create itself next outing. The date box tells me it will not load finds from before April of some date of this year. The finds I have are all from June 2011. I tried changing the date to closer to my find date and that does not change anything.

  5. I am having problems getting my field notes to upload from my garmin 62s. The first time I did it, it worked fine. Last weekend, we did some caching and have over 150 finds in the GPS. If I open the file through explorer and go to garmin folder and then geocache_visits, they are all there. When I connect to the geocache site and go to upload field notes, browse and double click the geocache_visits folder, then click on upload field note. When it gets done, it tells me it found 0 records were successfully uploaded. This is frustrating as it did work one time. I cannot figure out how to get it to work. Any suggestions?? 6. We have been caching now for 3+ years. It is funny to hear someone complain about this Roseville cacher. Anyone who knows him, knows he is in this for everyone's enjoyment. He places a variety of caches, from PNG's to very difficult puzzles. Something for everyone!!! Because he likes to hide them more than he goes to find them, is a benefit to ALL cachers. For someone to complain about someone who has only hid 145 caches in 6years, versus this guy who has over 670 hides, SHUT UP!!!! With 3446 finds. I wonder how many of those finds were of the person of this complaint. There is no reason this thread should be allow to continue. I am in the area of this complainer, let me tell you, there are lots of spots for caches in your backyard. As for me, I will not be doing any more Peepz caches, no matter how close they are. I do not need the numbers.
  7. How do I delete caches once they are on the 62s? I have tried all th buttons it seems, and cannot see where or how to delete a cache.
  8. Just connect your gps to the computer in mass storage mode and save the unzipped query files to the Garmin/GPX folder on either your 62 or the sd card you might have in it. No need for EasyGPS or GSAK unless you want to use those programs for other reasons. I have cpoied the GPX file and when I extract it in the garmin gpx file in the gps, I get the caches. Now the question is how do I delete caches once they are placed on this 62s?

No need for EasyGPS or GSAK unless you want to use those programs for other reasons. I tried copying the zipped file to the garmin folder but nothing opens when I look for geocaches on the GPS
  10. I just got the new 62s for christmas. I am trying to figure out how to upload pocket queries to it. I was using easy GPS for my 60csx and it work fine. I cannot get the easy gps to see my new 62s. How do I get the queries to load??
  11. Further to this, since I am not seeing any resolve or admission to the existence of this problem; I contacted Geocaching.com General Inquiries at: contact@geocaching.com prior to viewing the FORUMS. The reply I got was a thank you, and that I should post any concerns or problems I am experiencing to the Web Site forum. My concerns addressed in the e-mail were given a ticket ID #, and was dealt with by the Geocaching department. It was rated as a low priority, and that the ticket is now closed. In light of what is happening, my geocaching experience is slowly coming to an end, because I am spending more and more time on the computer, manually finding caches one at a time, instead of being out in the open air finding them. I am a basic member, I don't know if being a premium member would help. Becoming a premium member will not help, there are a number of us that are experiencing the same problem. I just got a reply from Groundspeak to check out this forum for a solution to my problem. This is where I started. They have no clue as to what is causing this.
  12. I am using IE6 working on XP on both machines. Does not make sense that it works fine on one and is screwed up on the other. Again, the only difference for me is the work pc is using McAffee security and I recently updated to Norton 360 at home. It does have a firewall turned on. I did test it last night with the firewall disabled, it did not change anything. Kind of glad to see that I am not alone on this, in that it is not something I did. It is driving me crazy. Hope they can get this fixed soon!!
  13. I am having the same problem, only on my home pc. At the office, it works fine. I am curious if you have recently added notron 360? Everything worked on my home pc until I updated to Norton 360. I was thinking that was the problem. Mark
