  1. Worst injury for me was a dislocated shoulder. I had fallen over a parking lot bumper the week before and had dislocated my shoulder. After five hours in emergency room and some good drugs I was sent home with arm in sling. Doctor says be careful as it could dislocate easily for the next six months. Well went caching the following week only to dislocated my shoulder when I tripped over a sturdy vine. Problem was it was the other shoulder. So about a half mile from car and with my blind friend so I had to lead we headed back. Very painful by the time we got to car. Drove to hospital with somewhat healed right arm. Spent four hours in another emergency room and having to explain dislocating both shoulders a week apart. Now they put me out again and we have to call friends to come and get us as I'm the only driver. Have I Won?
  2. I have the reverse of your problems...my husband doesn't understand me! He sees no redeeming qualities in trapsing through the woods looking for tupperware filled with McToys or a nano the size of a bullet. It's difficult to find enough reasons to send him out with the guys so I can cache. He doesn't like me to cache alone so I try to find a partner. I would cache every weekend but I find myself caching only about one or two days a month.
  3. I make small beaded bracelets using multicolored beads and alphabet beads. The beads spell out things like " I FOUND IT", " I LOVE CACHING", " GEOCACHER" etc. I also add a smiley face beadon them. They are just right to fit in a micro and I just fill it up when they run low. I state in my cache description that there is no room for a trade but please take a bracelet.
  4. It's a real shame that a few peoples negativitys had to spoil a good thing for the majority. I would just like to thank Infosponge for the wonderful job he had done on the CacheFlorida site. Not to mention all the time and effort involved. I know how I feel about my one small cache, even though it's little I still take pride in it. I fell sure that Info took pride,, as well he should have, in CacheFlorida. I too would have been upset with the way things were going in the forums because I'm sure Info made CacheFlorida for the enjoyment of his fellow cachers. Basicly what I'm saying is that if you can't say something nice than don't say it at all. Anyway if you ever decide to run the site again hopefully the few people will learn to play nice. After all it's just a game.
  5. Awwwhhh........ Going thru withdrawals
  6. I agree with all of you. I have one small almost micro that I keep stocked with small handmade bracelets that say "FOUND IT", "GEOCACHER" or something similar with a smiley face attached. I also carry a supply with me when I cache as they will fit most any size cache. Usually it is one of the first things traded for. I would love to find more handmade trades and less McToys.
  7. I received my GPS two years ago as a Christmas gift from a friend. When I opened the gift I looked at it and tried to act enthusied. He said it would be helpful on road trips. Well the GPS didn't leave its box but once. Then one day I read about Letterboxing with a link on the web to this site. Finally a use for the GPS. It goes with me everywhere and now my friend says I love it best. HA!!
