  1. Okay, the bug has been nabbed. Thank you so very much for your help! Once the bug and cache has been logged, we will be closing the cache for good. Thank you to all who visited the cache and visited our home. Best of luck to all! GeoGryffindor
  2. That would be great - it's very much appreciated! GeoGryffindor
  3. We are getting ready to move, which means that we are closing this cache down. There is a travel bug inside the cache that needs to move around. We are in such a tizzy trying to get moved, we are having a hard time trying to get it placed somewhere else. If there is anyone else local that could come and get it from the cache and place it, it would be so appreciated. Thanks so much! GCG4QM N 35° 58.813 W 096° 06.484 GeoGryffindor
  4. Oh my gosh - it seems that "Dan" of GeoGryffindor - the original - is back from the dead. He disappeared in Hawaii and now we have been contacted because the original has mysteriously made it to the main land (but, the copy is out as well - because we waited months and months and release the copy so that the race could continue). Can you believe it? But, there is a twist here...the original is in a cache that has recently been reported as "burned or charred" by muggles. So, with having sent some emails to fellow geocachers and the owners of the cache, we will see if the original "Dan" of GeoGryffindor has actually come back to life - been mistaked as a spooky mysterious bug - and burned at the stake. Enquiring minds want to know....
  5. Yep, we hear that Scouts are Honest, but.....they stole my travel bug. I have written to the local boy scout troop in the area they live in - cause they told me they were from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. But, I have never received a response from anyone. I am so bummed about it. I spent quite a bit of mula on the travel bug! Such a bummer!
  6. My travel bug is still missing. I do not understand these folks, unless they are trying to collect them so they can hold them all hostage.
  7. Yes, sorry, it was by shock and disbelief when the reserve was met. So many people emailed me with negative comments about the reserve that I didn't think it would sell. But, it did. So, I am going to close this Topic. Thank you!
  8. I am going to lower my price. It was listed at $400, but I have decided to take less for it. Email me if you are interested and want to put a price on it. Tonja GeoGryffindor
  9. Congratulations on your anniversary!!! Best Wishes! GeoGryffindor
  10. Yes, I do believe that happened this last weekend during our Fall Fest event down at Robber's Cave State Park. We were in charge of the kids cache event "Rowdy Billy and Slim Face Lilly" and we placed twelve caches a long a very long trail. Our ten year old daughter was in charge of finding just the right spot for the cache containers. Well, my husband checked on all 12 caches (took about an hours - the trail was a mile long from entrance to the last cache) at 9a.m. - the event started at noon. The parents and kids headed out immediately. We kept getting call after call on our 2 way radios about where is this cache and what does it look like. Well, after searching and searching, someone took four of our 12 caches. Three camo coffe cans and one ammo can. Some people are such idiots. The kids had a good time anyway and really enjoyed the loot they did find. I just have to say shame on those folks that took those caches. They took away from the kids. GeoGryffindor

  12. Dinks Barbeque in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. That is some good eatins.
  13. Hello again! Yes, it is permitted and it is almost a must to drive to some of the caches. It will be needed for the kids cache game, I do believe. We will find out for sure when we get there and set the game up on Friday. During the Spring event, we drove back and forth for the kids event. You will receive instructions before the event starts. Oh, I was just told by a fellow cacher that went down to Robber's Cave recently, watch out for Rattle Snakes. Looking forward to meeting you guys! Tonja GeoGryffindor
  14. For the kids event, the caches will be scattered all over the place, so we do recommened that the child be accompanied by an adult. We will be passing out tickets as well for the kids. We will have a separate prize giveaway for the kids. They will have to complete all the kids caches in order to get tickets. And believe me, they will want to get them all. They will be well rewareded. And, there is no need to bring trade items for the kids events. Tonja GeoGryffindor
  15. Thanks for the reply. Just keep an eye out for the family. I don't have hard feelings or anything. I just know they are new to the game and are just not familiar with the way things work yet. I believe it was their tenth cache. But, thanks for the kind words. Hey are you all going to Fall Fest? Tonja
  16. Yes, that was the last log that was put onto the computer. The people that actually took her have never logged her or the cache or any of the caches for that matter. I know they took her because I talked to them while they were at this cache. (It's infront of my house) Tonja GeoGryffindor
  17. My travel bug "Tonja, Crown Princess of Hystersisters" is missing. The last team to take her is Janet JP. They are new to the game, so I believe they do not know how to log it or a cache for that matter. They are a team from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. So, if you know this team or run into them, please ask them to log my travel bug or to contact me. Thanks! Tonja GeoGryffindor
  18. There is a team by the name of Janet JP that has taken my travel bug. They are new to the game and have not logged the bug that was left in my cache nor the one that they took that belongs to me. They are from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. If anyone knows this team, can you please help them get my bug back on track or have them contact me. My bugs name is: Tonja, Crown Princess of Hystersisters Thanks! Tonja GeoGryffindor
  19. We are looking at the last weekend of July or the first weekend of August. We will know for sure closer to that time. I really do think it will be a blast. Tonja GeoGryffindor
  20. We, several people from Oklahoma, are planning a cache machine, to come to St. Louis. There are several of us from the Tulsa Area Geocachers and Oklahoma City Area Geocachers that plan on attending. Our plans: To arrive on a Friday, cache that day and cache on Saturday, come back on Sunday. We are looking at the last weekend of July or the first weekend of August. Mission: We will arrive - park the vehicles - from that point on we will only use public transporation. We will go out in teams of four or six and have a race to see who can get the most caches in those two days - after pooling money - the winning team gets rewarded. What we are needing: We are wanting to find out if there is a way to get waypoints for some of the Metrolink and Metrobus. That way we can plan out our trip a little further. Would anyone be able to help us out here or know of someone who can? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much!! Tonja GeoGryffindor Member of Tulsa Area Geocachers
  21. OH, it is such a joy to take our two daughters out caching - ages 9 3/4 and 3 1/2 years. It is so much fun to send our oldest out with the gps and let her go find the cache. She has her own idea of where it is located - then, if all else fails, she will look at the gps. They are a blast and are good cachers. GeoGryffindor
  22. Mother's Day was also my Birthday - so I got a two for one. My husband and girls did my gifts as a cache. He had it all planned out. It was a multi. We had a blast. And, it was at night time as well. So - it was the best Mother's Day and Birthday I have ever had. Momma GeoGryffindor

  24. Congratulations to Geo-Ho and Mopar. Internet dating does work. My husband and I met on the internet August of 98. We got married October of 98. We are still going strong after 5 years and 2 kids. (Okay - one was already here). I did have to sort through a lot of personalities before him - but it was a wonderful experience.
