Okay, I'm not sure where to put this. I used someone's route of "Eugene to Portland, Oregon" for a PQ. It created 5 PQ's for me all of them "Eugene to Portland, Oregon" and now I can't get rid of them, because they give me an error message. I will post the message for each one, on the other hand they all say the same thing. I am using Foxfire, and running XP. I'm not sure of what other information you want. I only need one in my Queue, not five. Please help ___________________________________________________________________ Server Error in '/' Application. Bookmark lists, attributes, PQs, and pain...

You have written too much information. I think all you need to add if you must add a bookmark is what is above. That is my thought. This way it doesn't say anything more. Short and sweet is the best policy. -

Really? What if you saw a diving cache located here: topo / google It's in the middle of the desert. There is no water showing on any map. Should you bring your gear? In reply to your question, there is water near by, but there isn't a cache there and diving isn't required on any of the nearby caches. I would ask a cacher who has found the cache, as I stated before. I wouldn't travel 1000 miles and fly my diving stuff to Abilene, Texas without some idea of what I was doing first. I would gather information first. Once again, my personal safety is important to me. Now I do know of people who do cave diving and Texas is known for some nice cave and some with water in them, but I'm not sure if I've heard of any caves with water in them that has caches. I have other sources that I could find out for that information. I hope that answers your question. -

So what about people who never use attributes on their caches, yet require special equiment? I thought using the attributes were an option. If you care about the safety and your equiment you should check out where you are going to dive and learn something about the area before you go. Just because someone says that something is a special way doesn't always mean that it is that way. If I look at a cache and it is in the water, I would know that I need something other then walking to it. I would go check out the area. If the area was 500 miles away, I would contact a cacher who has located the cache or the owner to see what was up. I really don't think the attributes are that useful. Somethings are just common sense. I have seen attributes both overused and misused. Perhaps someone should waste there time and placing a bookmark on all the caches that don't have attributes on them. How does ClayJar know that there aren't caches out there that require diving gear and aren't on his list if they don't have attributes with the little guy who has a tank on. Has he bookmarked those caches? Personally if I saw a cache in the middle of the desert with a driver attribute on it, I won't bring my diving gear, because I would know better. -
Newbie Looking For Partners In Crime :)

The geocachers for that area usually hang out here: www.socalgeocachers.com/ Although I'm getting a forbidden message, just me? Best thing to do is show up to an event in your area and make some geo-friends. Good luck, Duncan Hackers have claimed the site and it is being worked on as we speak. It should be up and working in a few days. -
Disturbing Lack Of Socal 4x4 Friendly Caches
HappyFrog (& gang) replied to 92 Green YJ's topic in West and Southwest
http://www.socal4x4geocachers.org/ is putting caching out when they go out for runs together. You will find many have been placed. Hopefully you are also placing 4x4 caches so they can be found. -
Needs Maintenance Logs
HappyFrog (& gang) replied to Renegade Knight's topic in General geocaching topics
Or to find that someone logged a find after several (like 3 to 5 DNF) on a missing cache and there is no cache, when you go look for it and about 3 to 5 people after you can't find it either. I log Needs Maintenace Logs when there is a group of us looking for the same cache, it hasn't been found in months, and we expanded our search to 100 feet. I also log Needs Maintenace Logs when there are 3 to 5 DNF's and I can't find it. Just because I can't find it doesn't mean it's not there. I just may not have been able to spot the cache. -
I created the file for you. You can type in "Oregon" or in the Keyword "Portland" or "Sandy"

Okay, I have now posted 9 "Caches along a Route." In order to test to see if they come up with the keywords, I have done that and have refound the ones that I have posted, but when I typed in California, or CA, nothing of mine showed up. I can't even go back and edit the "Caches along a Route" I don't know why either. I know that this is like beta testing, so I know there is really no formal way of doing the Caches along the route thing. For example, I have noticed that people are putting the Highway's in different. I'm not sure if you use the keyword it picks up the titles name although I thought that it would. I'm about to go traveling and I thought I would see what others posted along the route. Any suggestions? Thanks

I would love to be there and it sounds like fun! I'm not sure if you want me as a team member or volunteer. I'm not very good at puzzles

I think that I will geocache the rest of my life. As long as there are caches I will find them. Now how often I go caching will depend on what else is going on in my life. Soup has some great events!!! For some people it's the numbers, other people is where the caches take you, some it's the travelbugs/geocoins and for others it's the people. Geocaching is different for everyone.

I have done this! In the past this is when I have done the major caching.

Please let me know when you get the page posted Thanks HappyFrog

If they go to Canada from Washington they can come back into either Washington or Idaho any other state would not work. Some of the Cannonball Racers are still in Oregon. May the best racer win. I just want mine to get to the finish line. It can't win anyway.
