Here is the key: I find CRC's advertising solicitation to be quite misleading if you don't take the effort to read their Privacy Statement closely; evidently, based on the results revealed by that Google search, others believe this as well.
As a generalization, we have become a society that expects to keep putting up rule after rule to protect those who are either too lazy or ignorant to be responsible for their own actions. Anyone who gets "suckered" by something like this had all the pertinent information available to them before they took action, so they have nobody to blame but themselves.
Am I an uber-genius for never having been taken in by one of these things? No ... I simply choose to take the time and effort to educate myself before rushing off into something new. I personally can't stand these types of companies, but there's a reason they are legal.
