He didn''t remember the answer...and he doesn't have the photo so he can't edit the log. An unusual set of circumstances for a veteran cacher.

I am the owner of a virtual cache that requires a photo at a designated set of coordinates to be posted in the log as well as the answer to an observation at a nearby site be sent to me as a message/email. A recent visitor to the virtual site claims to have posted the photo and sent the answer. The photo never posted in the log and I never received the answer to the observation. I've been in discussion with him via the message system and I have no doubt he was there. Without the requirements having been received though, should I delete his find or allow it to stand? I'm also concerned as to what happened to the photo and answer...are they floating out there in cyberspace? Has this issue arisen before?

HQ deactivated it for me. Situation solved. Thanks for the suggestion...apparently that's the only to rectify a situation like that.

Unit473 was correct...entered the wrong activation code which was apparently someone elses. I guess I'll have to contact HQ. I guess there's a first time for everything. And leave it to me to find it.

I activated what I thought was my geocoin...turns out it wasn't. I never intended to activate someone else's coin. How do I undo what I did???

And today it's working...albeit ever so slowly. And it stalls.

I'm getting frustrated this evening with creating a list...had not had this issue on previous occasions. I created a new list but it won't appear when I try to save caches to it. Also, I deleted an old list but it keeps reappearing every time I go my lists. Is there something going on with the website or the link? Thanks for any insight into this.

Never mind..I did a soft reset of my phone and that resolved the issue.

When I started the search for a multi today, the screen switched to a short 30 second video on how to find a multi-cache. After playing, the original screen/cache map and cache info doesn't reappear. It appears to have frozen on the video and I can't get rid of it...what to do???

Arghhh! And I can confirm that it was working briefly...very briefly...but the issue seems even worse now. The page freezes up when I try stopping the script.

Okay...this has just gotten a lot weirder!!! I tried loading a cache from the website one last time before hitting up Garmin again...and it recognized my unit and loaded the cache. OMG! I haven't done anything to it and now it works!?? I've been farting around with this situation for weeks...and now it works.!!!
Thank you for trying to help me and I'm sorry to have bothered you with this issue...but I can't explain what just happened.

It should be listed under "Programs and Features" in the Control Panel.
There's no such animal there...no "Programs and Features"...checked the Computer menu too...went to "Uninstall a Program" and couldn't find the plug-in there. Did a search in the Control Panel for a Garmin Communicator Plug-in and was told there was no such item found. Yikes! Now what???

We are not seeing other reports of this, and the communicator is working properly for me on Win7 in both Chrome and IE9. Have you tried an uninstall and reinstall of Communicator?
No...where will I find it on my computer? I tried looking for it once and couldn't find it.

I've tried running it on both Google and Internet Explorer. My laptop has Windows 7.

Does your computer see the communicator on Garmin's test page (http://www8.garmin.com/products/communicator/test/)?

When I try to load a geocache from the Geocache.com website on my new laptop a note appears that says: Garmin Communicator Plugin NOT detected. Download and install now. I've tried that without success. Yet on my desktop computer it works just fine. The laptop recognizes the unit on the F: drive. I've tried opening the website using a different browser but that didn't help and I've contacted Garmin. Their tech said to contact you...so what can I do to make it work on my laptop?

Make sure that you move the radio button selection from "Any Type" to "Selected Types". If you don't, you'll still get every type of cache in your query, even though you have just check marked one or two.

I requested only regular and mult's on my last two PQ's this past week but got EVERYTHING...mystery, virtuals, earthcaches, webcams, events... I haven't been doing anything differently than I usually do.
Has anybody else had an issue with this recently???

I didn't delete the log. He finally remembered the required answer although the mystery of the photo remains. The site sometimes has iffy cell receptions so I'm guessing his photos are floating around in cyberspace.
