  1. Will someone please post co-ordinates for the University of Auckland. I am planning a trip and I need a starting point for geocaching. Thanks in advance! Namaste' ~del Mar~
  2. I am traveling to New Zealand soon. Does anyone have a suggestion of a good site showing maps with co-ordinates, or a site that gives co-ordinates for addresses typed?
  3. I work for the census bureau. I use mine everyday for mapping and finding locations that have no known address.

  5. OK since everyone is commenting on CDs & TBs I gotta chime in. I placed this in a location close to my house so that I can regularly check up and move those bugs that have been there a while. I try to do this during the week so that the weekends are open for all cachers to choose from a variety. The CDs in the cache are the other trade item. This is on purpose for those who want to take a bug but havent one to replace, and can trade across by leaving a CD. Easy! It is located in a location easy to access for those who have had some TBs for longer than they ment to and have not been able to get out to the "wilder" locations and need to just drop them somewhere to get them back into circulation. My problem with what highpointer is doing, (and I have emailed you about this HP) is that ALL of the TBs are taken in one visted, boom, gone. That leaves none for others to enjoy! The cacher nor the cache site can be seen from the stop sign, It is hidden well enough. I think people like visiting it, over and over.
  6. I have a story cache! I began with a paragraph and let everyone add to it. I created a seperate homepage for the story so that those who have already visited can keep up with the story. needle vista etc... etc.
  7. I have 21 released, 5 waiting to be released, 5 coins released, and 6 coins waiting.
  8. Same pick up team in CA, same problem. It's back to TX for "Tou-can Play"
  9. I have also wondered who is watching my bugs, it would be nice to know.My question at the moment is what has happened to my ability to add my own TB/hitchhikers to my watch list? I dont have that question in my little blue box of things to do with the TB. Other people are watching my newest travelers but I cannot add them to my managed list. Anybody know whats going on?
  10. I often drive 200 miles in a day for my work. I plan out a few caches along the way and back to break up my drive. There are tons in my area but I have purposly gone to other states with cache info in hand just for the heck of it.
  11. Hi, If you want to do a little hiking away from downtown, you can start with this one http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...2-E256621557A8} (There's gold in them thar hills). There are several in this area of "Lost Dutchman state park" with varying degrees of difficulty with regard to a hike in the Beautiful Superstition Mountains. You can also try http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...cb-c125c449e0da (sprocket's 12 step...). A nice follow-up to a hike as this multi takes place in the town's main family park (grass, bbq, playground etc) challengeing and clever. These are all about 40 minutes east from downtown PHO but worth the drive. Enjoy AZ! ~del Mar~
  12. If you have the number, you should be able to go to the geocoin/travel bug page and pick it up. Must be some kind of glitch otherwise. Yes.....All I get is an error page when I try to pick it up at the TB page. any suggessions?
  13. I dropped my coin in a virtual today and cant get it out! Im not sure if thats any better than the inability to drop it in the first place but either situation is hopefully fixable.
  14. Well yes I can, by golly.........I thought I had tryed that before and came up with the main TB page but it certainly works for me now Thanks!
  15. I would like to see, at a glance, the most recent activity date for the bugs I own listed on " my cache page" The email regarding bug activity isn't specific and I find myself going thru all of them (bugs) unless I copy, paste email message. Any comments?
  16. I have run into several people who have read about it either in WSJ or Time, but none participate. They say "Oh you do that?" Check my log in this cache from just today....right along with the subject....funny. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...C-4D48FEE7D070} (Jack's fan)
  17. I have 5 in circulation. 1 of them however was picked up and the finder asked if he could keep it......we have worked out a compromise (I think), 3 are traveling around quite well, and 1 I carry in a necklace from cache to cache with me.
  18. People from all over go to events. Recently I met canadians at one and some folks from CA and NJ. It is likely that I would be there from AZ if you were to plan an event in late Jan! Visiting San Mateo would be old home week for me. Count me in event or no.
  19. I am trying.......7 so far other than my home state. This past summer I geared my main vacation around caches I wanted to find. Win the lottery? well maybe, RV? uh nope.
  20. I like it. Now lets work on last date of activity next to each TB on "my cache page". Namaste' ~del Mar~
  21. I have a geocoin that I wear around my neck. I log it in at every cache and back out again. I considered "home" in between but that isnt realistic either as I find caches in other states as well. Also I offer the grab to anyone who asks (if they meet up with me) and then I just take it back to move it along with me. http://www.geocaching.com/track/track_detail.asp?ID=54643
