Expertgps 1.3.7 Please

And you would be correct! I was leery of a bulky program like that but it works like a charm! Thanks. -
Expertgps 1.3.7 Please
Gratefulmike and NaviBear replied to Gratefulmike and NaviBear's topic in GPS technology and devices
Well, the new version didn't work for me either because the problem isn't importing - it is exporting. I use ExpertGPS to view/edit/whatever else to the gpx file I get from a pocket query and then export from ExpertGPS in .csv which can be used by the data import wizard in Microsoft Streets and Trips to put push pins on the map. I tried using GPSBabel which seems appropriate for what I am mainly trying to do but couldn't get that to create a usable .csv file either. In that case it was probably just me! This may or may not be what the program was developed for but it has worked for me for several years now and I went into panic mode when I updated and no longer had this function. On the bright side, I did some digging and found a disk with the old version on it and now all is right with the world again. The old dog and new tricks saying comes to mind here. Thanks everyone for the help though! - Mike -

Thanks. I'll try the copy and paste plan and wait for the beta release. Thanks again for your replies. - Mike -
Hi all. I was hoping that someone kept an old copy of ExpertGPS that I can get. I got the latest version and it doesn't export in .csv and even though I have seen folks touting the tab delimited option it doesn't seem to work for me to get my PQs into Streets and Trips. Thanks.

Ditto. Hope they get this fixed before our trip Mon.

Hey thanks!!! And wouldn't you know it, this is our 20th post!! Another milestone. -
We have a travel bug - Dark Star Travel Bear/bug - that wants to go to a Dead Show or Phil and Friends or Ratdog. We were going to catch the show in Deer Creek this year but that is starting to look very unlikely now. If anyone is going and want to take this bug we will try to get it going in your direction. We just don't want to let anyone down if possible. Thanks ~ Mike and Samantha

Hey, this is a good idea. If we could all just trade the regular cache items by mail too then nobody will have to go out in the woods.

www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=1717 I think this is one of our favorites in Ohio. I also noticed that there is a new one on this island as well. The ferry ride to it was worth the trip alone. We have some pictures posted here photos.yahoo.com/bc/gratefulmike68/lst?&.dir=/Vacations&.src=ph&.begin=9999&.view=t&.order=&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/bc/gratefulmike68/lst%3f%26.dir=/Vacations%26.src=ph%26.view=t not sure if this link will work for you or not. The pictures are labled Emerald Island Cache

Pocket PC GPS
Gratefulmike and NaviBear replied to GeoGargoyle's topic in GPS technology and devices
That worked like a charm. I can't believe the time that just saved. I used to put the pins in one at a time copy and paste. I think I am in love. Thanks ~ Mike -

We would like a GPS attachment for the IPaq that would allow us to put in coordinates from the MobiBook query while we are on the road. So far we haven't found one that looks like it would do that. They appear to need to be preloaded before your trip. Kind of a pain if you are in a hurry. Any reccomendations please?

Geocacher Trading Cards. Thoughts?
Gratefulmike and NaviBear replied to Jeremy's topic in General geocaching topics
A lot of folks already have signature items. Why couldn't one signature item be submitted to Geocaching.com and a serial number be assigned to the cacher to place on their signature item - be it a key chain, button, card etc... -
We found these markers suspiciously close (<100 feet) to where there should have been benchmarks on 2 occasions. They were about 4 to 5 feet tall and the only thing written on them was Deuteronomy 30. We couldn't see anything in the bottom of them but they felt like they would probably come up with little resistance. Didn't try it though since we are clueless about their purpose. We thought just maybe they had something to do with the missing benchmarks.

Easy Caches for Physically Challenged

This one was called Stars and Stripes (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=7708) and was in an easily accessible urban area. We are still pretty inexperienced with using the GPA and all, but after about half an hour of searching and narrowing down, DogMa found the hidden cache!! MrSki and Dogma Hi there!
