  1. They didn't mention his name but there were a few people shown in the report and some were walking on the beach. Not sure if they were actual geocachers or just muggles posing as geocachers and it looked like everyone had Magellens so who knows. I was hoping whoever was in the report would post. There was no specific mention of Geocaching.com he just said "Visit one of the geocaching websites". ----------------------------------------- If you go into the huckleberry region back of Shark River you had better not scorn the story of the great pirate ship that sails without trouble in twelve inches of water, and has skeletons dangling at the mastheads. - Stephen Crane 1894
  2. Nice 5 minute story with an explaination and interview with a cacher this morning. They did a good job explaining the whole process and describing the process of finding a cache. Funny thing was the guy they interviewed came up cacheless trying to find a cache in Central Park while on tv. More info is supposed to be on News Channel 4 but it wasn't up yet. ----------------------------------------- If you go into the huckleberry region back of Shark River you had better not scorn the story of the great pirate ship that sails without trouble in twelve inches of water, and has skeletons dangling at the mastheads. - Stephen Crane 1894

It's just a server side component that sends email via .asp so it shouldn't interfere with the entry into the db - it just won't send an email. ----------------------------------------- If you go into the huckleberry region back of Shark River you had better not scorn the story of the great pirate ship that sails without trouble in twelve inches of water, and has skeletons dangling at the mastheads. - Stephen Crane 1894

  14. Here is some more info: 8725441 I don't see the date 1996 listed - are you sure that was the date? It looks like there are a few different benchmarks listed under the same Station ID. 15. Not sure about overseas, but I can tell you they are definitely some located on military bases. There are a few in my area that are pretty old that I would love to check out but I'm not even going to bother asking. Here are a couple of examples: KV5082 KV5083 They caught my eye because the type always seems to be "Not Listed" If you go into the huckleberry region back of Shark River you had better not scorn the story of the great pirate ship that sails without trouble in twelve inches of water, and has skeletons dangling at the mastheads. - Stephen Crane 1894
  16. It's nice to see that the National Ocean Service has a sense of humor. Although the benchmark is gone, I can verify that yes indeed it did stink.
